Does anyone have any of the bags from the Tumi Alpha Bravo series? I saw one I liked today but 395 is a hefty price tag. Are they actually worth the money?

Well, they are well made with a certain style (I call it rich Asian businessman) that may appeal. This line is definitely a clean one. As far as price goes .. i am cheap and wait for a good style to go out of rotation and then buy them at 60% off or more at an outlet.

I have owned two of their bags over the years. They are very well built and well design as far as organization, for biz / office type work. I traveled a lot with both bags and after years and hundred thousands of air miles they still look almost new.

BUT -- look around the conference room or the airport terminal -- everyone carries the same bag. Right now the backpack is the in thing. So personally I have been staying away from them for a few years now. Oh and yeah -- they run sales a lot so just wait for the sale prices. I have never bought one at full price.

    P.K.

Worth the money? Not if you value a good warranty.
