With the recent change in TSA legislature, I figured that we should start putting together a list of TSA approved knives, so post away

Leatherman style, the version without the scissors or pliers, would definitely work. Not sure if tools like the other Style's or the Squirt line would work. The knives do fall under the limits, but who knows if they will be allowed on the plane or not.

the guidelines have just come out, but the main thing concerning blades is if they can or cannot lock, and the size must be less than 1.5 inches i believe. I grabbed a leatherman style just for this reason.
However a TSA list has yet to be published - as far as i know

They're not going to post a list, just guidelines, and those are:
2.36 inch blade, measured from the handle to the tip
Blade less than .5 inch wide
    Non locking
Non molded handle ( basically no finger groves)

You better hope they don't say it has "molded" handles.

I was just at the Spyderco factory yesterday. They said that they contacted TSA to check on their Bug and Honey Bee knives. TSA informed them that both meet the requirements, but that it is still technically up to the discression of the agent on site.

Has anyone flown since the new guidelines have been put in place?

I had a Leatherman Style CS confiscated (no blade) at the airport before these new guideline.

Just wanted to check with others before I buy a new one.

Off the top of my head I don't think the new guidelines go into effect until some time in April.

I believe it's April 25. Someone in the forum said they've already carried one on board.

I thought I saw it was April 31st... I could be very wrong though. Anyway, by May we can carry on airplanes :)

Yes, it is April 25th according to Fox News. I don't fly often so I won't try it out. My last flight was in 2008. I kind of hate flying

Thanks folks...should have looked it up. April 25 is it. Flying before that date, so I'll wait on it.
