The Merkava gets beat up after a while on keychain duty. I also had to superglue it once because the cap came loose once, but luckily the vial was fit snug enough to not fall out. The cap slides into the top, and includes the hole where the split ring attaches.

Don't regret buying it though. Merkava is great to deal with, and this design is super compact.

I have a custom made Tritium fob made by Farid. Anodized titanium casing. It really is superb.

I also think the regulations are silly but the regulation has nothing to do with getting dosed with the beta waves they put off. It is trying to stop the rouge contruction and charging of hydrogen bombs.

I love that fob. Where did it come from? And how much was it? Thanks for the info.

As I said, custom made by a chap called Farid. Cost was £50, which I guess works out at about $75

I agree, the merkava glow ring does get beat up over time on key ring duty. My glow ring looks pretty similar to yours, but has a few cracks running through the casing.

At the moment I am using the cases from LESLIEx317537 (at cpfmarketplace), and have installed my own 3x23 tritium using norland 61 adhesive. At the moment, this is going pretty well, with very little signs of wear. The size of this glowring is not much larger than the merkava...

I don't know what the rules are down under. Don't laugh and this could be wrong but I think long ago on CPF I heard that it was ok as long as you were not planning on building a nuclear bomb. I also think it was under some dangerous goods act that got repealed.

In the USA the rules are funny the way I understand them. You can own just fine, the problem lies with dealers of it. I think they are only worried about the people who could have thousands of vials on hand. Not the guys with a few. It takes a lot of tritium I think to do anything dangerous with it.

I like the trit vial in the end of the flashlight. Most lights that have that as an option are just out of my price range, and I do not have the skills to assemble one myself.

Its a self installed 3x23 tritium into clear cases which can be bought from LESLIEx317537 (at cpfmarketplace). You can earlier post for some more details.

I have one green and one white (second and third from the right). The far right, is my merkava glow ring, which shows significant signs of wear.
