I love this one, it’s a small Barlow classic made by Böker. I keep it in a small leather pouch.

It is a 707 Copperhead. My dad liked it because it had a plain edge and a serrated edge.

@litework: that 707 copperhead is really nice! Wish they were still on the market -- I'd buy one for sure!

@Clown: Liking those two^^. Although I've 'seen' the Case with the cap lifter from various outlets, I haven't opted for one - yet. Is that one the 'bonestag'? Reminds me of a few Case knives I do have... And with the cap lifter it occurs to me Case are paying attention to some of GEC offerings! :)

Q: What really caught my eye is the other one -- the Copenhagen. Is this current production or is it a 'vintage' knife? I'm sort of a sucker for knives that have both SE and PE blades; just not that many out there. In fact the only ones I can think of are the B2 from LM (got one) and the Cold Steel 'Lucky' (not yet). Love to know more therefore about the Copenhagen.

    Enjoy them!

Thanks for the comments! The Case covers are called Amber bone. I actually have a GEC #15 Radio Jack (with caplifter) and its one of my favorite knives. I really wanted to check out the Case version. I'm glad I did. If its a pattern you like I would recommend it.

The Schrade is "vintage". I read somewhere which years they were making these but can't recall it at the moment. There was also a stockman pattern Copenhagen produced with the serrated sheepsfoot. There always seem to be a few of them on the bay at any given time.

Camillus made a 707 Copperhead which is larger Hunter pattern. Has locking serrated and PE blades. I just stumbled across this one today actually and now find I have something else to save up for :)

@Clown: I guess you mean the Copenhagen is a vintage Schrade product... I didn't know. Must predate Schrade becoming one of the brands Taylor has made for them in China... I hope so. I've been underwhelmed by the few I've sampled.

Look forward to seeing the Camillus if you end up getting it!

Yes this one is from when Schrade was still made in the USA.

I have a couple of knives from the late 80s, both from the old "Western" brand, that include serrated edge blades with a PE.

@9x19; @Clown: its interesting that these vintage knives, which have both PE and SE blades existed. Particularly those that seem like they were intended for people who really used the knives for work. I personally try to always have both a PE and a SE blade on me. Although I had always carried a pocket knife -- usually a SAK -- I really only got into all this a few years ago when I stumbled on edcf -- duh! LOL. I very soon recognized the utility of having both grinds -- give me a SE ESPECIALLY a hawkbill SE any day for cutting any sort of fibrous materials!

Interesting enough I only own one combo blade -- it was one of my earliest purchases. Don't think I'll ever buy another; problem to me with a combo is not having really that much cutting edge of either type. Sharpening is no fun on it either.

Gotta wonder how many of our fellow knife knuts on here also like to have both...?

Suffice it to say, you are not alone...I don't like combo blades and I carry a plain edge and a fully serrated everyday (usually a serrated Delica)
