    These are ALWAYs difficult!

After much deliberation, i'll go for:-

    Vanessa Amorosi "Absolutely Everybody"
    The Cult "She Sells Sanctuary"
    Duran Duran "Come Undone"
    Iggy Pop "Real Wild Child"
Don Henley "The End of the Innocence"

Jeez... I don't know that I could pick just 5. Five of all time? Current 5? Five for Fighting?

If we are going for top 5 of all time, this is my best list I could think of, though I am sure I will have to redo it after abit...

    1. "Don't You (Forget About Me)" – Simple Minds
    2. Smells like Teen Spirit - Nirvana
    3. Running with the Devil - Van Halen (the first time I heard this song, my whole life changed, man...)
    4. Master of Puppets - Metallica
    5. God's gonna cut you down - Johnny Cash

It's funny, looking at this list. I am a pretty big fan of Metal, but there is really very little in the way of metal on this list.

These are always hard questions to answer. I'll stick to the RR.

    1. Riverside - 02 Panic Room
    2. Metallica - Fuel
    3. Ozzy Osborne - No More Tears
    4. Foo Fighters - All My Life
    5. The Cult - Soul Asylum

    Very hard decision...
    1.Ace of Base-Happy Nation
    2.Ace of Base-The Sign
    3.Juno Reactor-God is God
    4.The Cardigans-Lovefool
    5.Jamiroquai-You give me something

Like in the "Favourite movies" thread there should have been the possibility of more choices.
    Honourable mentions-too many...

    Hallelujah - Leonard Cohen

O Fortuna - from Orff, "Carmina Burana"

And yes, my tastes are as eclectic as this list. Actually I usually prefer instrumental music.

top 5 in no order I guess

    I) Black No.1-----Type O Negative
    II)Professional Killer-----KMFDM
    III)Christian Woman-----Type O Negative
    IV)Wolf Moon-----Type O Negative
    V) Don't Fear the Reaper-----Blue Oyster Cult

Hard to choose.......but as you can probably tell, I'm a big fan of Type O......too bad they won't be touring anymore (I assume) RIP Peter Steele and well I like all kinds of stuff but TON seems to be the best right now

This is a really hard question, given that I have been seriously listening to music for more than 45 years, bu, in no particular order:
Brown Eyed Girl - Van Morrision
    Lunatic Fringe - Red Rider
Jamaica Say You Will - Jackson Browne
Can't You Hear Me Knocking - The Rolling Stones
Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd

Man, all the other songs from CSNY, Bealtes, Rolling Stones, King Crimson, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, U2, Who, James Taylor, Rod Stewart, Steve Winwood with and without Traffic, Genesis, Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Bob Seeger, and many many others I had to leave off this list makes me sick.

I don't even know if I should be posting this considering that I do not feel that I can stick to the rules...

I don't even consider myself much of a music fan (I have less than 1.5 gig) yet would be hard pressed to pick less than a dozen songs.

So, here are my top 5... errr 12 songs, although in no particular order. Some of them have a song after a song (by the same artist) too tough to choose one as my favorite over the other.

1 - Green Day - Holiday (or Minority)
    2 - Modest Mouse - Float on
3 - Transplants - Weigh on My Mind (or Diamonds and Guns)
    5 - Clash - Janie Jones
5 - Everlast - Today (Watch Me Shine)
6 - Nick Cave - Into My Arms
    7 - Outcast - The Whole World
8 - Rocket from the Crypt - On a Rope
    9 - Social Distortion - I was Wrong
    10 - The Stranglers - Golden Brown
    11 - The Pogues - Sally MacLennane
12 - The Cure - Lullaby (or Boys Don't Cry)

IF I could change one, I think I would add "Hurt" - NIN.

Vae-Victus: KMFDM/MDFMK is good music. I remember listening to them at six in the morning when I was seventeen as I was preparing the dining room I worked at in a retirement center. It was a terrible job, but KMFDM in the morning made it a lot better. "Rabblerouser" was a favorite. Thanks for reminding me. ;)
