I ordered the Syn25 in Black Dyneema last week and it said backorder till late Oct. I was ok with that however it arrived today. Why does it have to show up the day I leave for a week long trip???? What dumb luck! ;) At least I have something to look forward to . Tom Bihn rocks....

Just opened the box. The Synapse 25 is perfection. I also purchased the cache for my Air 13", Snake charmer, and med stuff sack. Thanks Tom Bihn ;)

I had a nordic/solar Side Effect. I tried to bring back the waist pack, but I failed. I ended up trading it and I kinda regret it. As far as waist packs go its pretty amazing.

I bought one in black before the prices went up. I've loaded it up but haven't used it yet. As these things go, it's about as innocuous as you can get.

I wore mine a couple of times and as far as "fanny packs" go, its pretty amazing. You can't tell when you have it on. I hides under a tshirt. I wish I wouldn't have gotten ride of it, but thems the breaks. I might get another one, although the nordic/solar dynemma isn't available anymore. I'll probably get one in black dyenemma. It is so lightweight.

Oh that Daylight! I've been asking for a back like that for awhile now...Thank you TB! C'mon payday!

(Gonna have to find some padded shoulder strap pads though and I'm surprised there aren't any green colors like forest/conifer or olive.)

I own a few Tom Bihn items. A Synapse 19, Ristretto 13, Swift and loads of smaller bags, pouches, straps and clippy things. Pricey yes but the quality is exceptional. You simply can not go wrong with any of their products.

Well, next time you want to get your fix, you can help the forum out by using the banners up top, or this link to give EDCF credit during your purchase. Tom Bihn is one of the manufacturers who support EDCF.

Any news on potential new designs from the mind of Tom on the horizon? I'd love to see some more briefcase/messenger type bags.

I'm sure this answer is laid out somewhere in here....but can anyone explain the differences between the 1000d and dynema?
