I was looking at my bag and thinking it would be cool to have a patch on the front pocket of the bag ... Has anyone else thought about sewing a Velcro patch on the front? I'm thinking like a 2x3
Size for an American flag or something similar. I have quite a few patches and no home for them

Haven't considered it, but I guess you could if you wanted to. I think you'd have to sew it by hand, though. Maybe glue it first and then add some stitches for reinforcement?

What I like about owning a Synapse is that it is one of the only bags I have that is low profile. Nice to have at least one non tactical bag in your collection and thats mine. I feel if I started adding patches to it the bag would loose its Grey Man appeal.Form follows fuction & the Synapse is on top of the food chain in the backpack world. But hey rules are made to be broken!

We've got quite the National Park patch collection by now and have been meaning to sew them on one of our bags for a while... maybe a how-to video is in order. And if anyone does sew a patch on to their bag, post a photo!

You could also sew the patches directly onto the bags.... you can't swap them around, but you can fit more, and no one can steal them or flip them upside down when you are not looking. :)

I don't see how adding a patch will make my bag "tactical" ....

Depends. A Tactical Trunk Monkey or Lead Farmer patch could change things a bit. ;)

Ironically I pondered about how I could add some velcro and a couple of rows of molle on a synapse if I ever got around to buy one.

I would say so lol .... I'd be adding something along the lines of a USA flag patch and nothing more
