    Stormdrane,

That round Snow Peak titanium flask is a beauty, but I'm happy with my large titanium Snow Peak hip bottle and the titanium didn't influence the taste of Laphroaig that has been inside it for over 3 months.

    Cheers,

    Bagheera

Here's my latest Ti acquisition.  An Atwood Area 51 Ti Keyton:

It only weights about 12 grams plus 3 for the lanyard, or a total of about ½ oz!

Just got this in the mail. Thanks Gadget Guy. Made of solid titanium. It is actually quite hefty. I am presently saving for a kydex sheath making kit, which I will probably make a sheath for this so that it can be worn nicely as a keychain.

I didn't realize I had a problem until I came in here.  ;D  I have a number of Ti items but really didn't think much about having the bug.  I just thought it was a variation on a theme and there was no need to worry.  Judging by my reaction to products on a couple of the above links perhaps I was mistaken.   :nervous:

This just came a couple of days ago.  It's a "hanko" (chop/stamp) with my name on it.  Over here they use these things in lieu of signatures and I wanted something different.  It's 60mmx15mm Ti grade 2.  The tiger is because of my birth year in the Chinese Zodiac which the Japanese also use.

    Here you go: Titanium Stamp

I did a fair amount of research before I found characters I liked.  Since my family name is not Japanese I found phonetic equivalents using Kanji characters then put Japanese phonetics next to those since the characters I used are older; most can't read them.  The font I chose is the same as on a 10,000 yen bill here.

I am now becoming interested in Titanium. I have the Leatherman Charge Ti, and ordered the Ti Prybaby. But how does Titanium perform as a blade? I am wondering if I should get the Ti Hideaway Knife or the S30v.

    Hi Dan,

That is a tough one. I had two of the coolest titanium knives that you could own and I sold them both. I had the Mission knives all titanium MPF folder and the Benchmade/Emerson titanium blade version 970?. I found the blades on both too hard to sharpen and I even spent $35 for a special sharpener for the Mission. On the other hand, if I was going to buy a Hideaway, then I would go with the titanium. That is the one that i'm going to buy myself.

Thanks GG, So does that mean the blade holds an edge better?
