We all have them - things we want even though we have no use for them whatsoever. Some of us, including myself , have indulged in buying them. Others have resisted. I thought it might be fun to admit to some of the things we covet, why we covet them, and why it makes no sense for us to buy them. I'll start. Strider SJ75 "Baby Huey" - A big, tough, expensive knife with a big belly, this thing is absolutely gorgeous. It feels great in the hand. I should know; I bought one. But it really doesn't make sense for me to own. It fits no purposes for me, but it's so gorgeous. This is the one I indulged in and bought. Now I'm selling it. Knives from the GEC Beaver Tail series - I love the look of these. They have sturdy blades and nice, ergonomic wooden handles. Plus they have a great logo and I cannot deny how much that has to do with my wanting one. But there's not one that fits a good need for me. I like having multiple blades on my knives (e.g. Stockman, SAK Electrician styles), but trappers just don't fit and neither does a single blade. So I just stare at them. Your turn! EDIT: This is not a hint for my secret santa. I don't like owning things I can't use.
