Great start to this thread! Firefighter for a living, eh? Thanks!
Yes sir! Thank you!
And I thought I got warm at work...
With the winter we had here in the northeast, making a push on some flames wasn't the same abuse it is in the summertime haha
Happy Humpday everyone!
Today I made some Begleri. I've wanted to for quite some time and finally got around to it.
It's just black 550 cord and copper beads that I made for some nice weight to twirl.
Cool bikes, and nice job! I have few fire fighters who work for me!
This seems to happen to me more often than not.... I know, it's petty given the real problems many face on a daily basis but I HATE when the USPS just flat out screws up deliveries. at least 3 out of 5 packages I have delivered by them are late and 1 out of 10 seems to get lost.
A quick 3 hours of overtime today. Some of what I carry on shift.
Goodies came in the mail today!
5 star firearms speed loader (.357/.38),EDC Forums coin and the glowing EDC Forums Manix 2 XL. (go the the forum store and order one if you havent!)
What is the orange thing attached to the clip?
That's a spare house and truck key. They fold out of the copper housing. (It looks orange from being in my pocket for a while). I missed the boat for folding key holders... Now the keybar / keysmart etc. have the market. I should have cashed in on the idea when I first had it. Kind of the same thing with the belt loop hooks haha.
More glowing goodness.
Yeah should have gotten in on that. Definitely looks better than the other options out there right now.
Live and learn haha. Thank you!
Nice stuff! That pic of your fixie... Is that in Green point or LIC? I work for the big, evil red telecom in Queens and N. Bklyn. And are you FDNY? I have a friend who is a FF in Manhattan. If you ever see someone on a pole using a spyderco and cursing up a storm... That's me!
I work in a small city a little north of NYC but know a handful of guys that work in different houses throughout the FDNY. That picture was taken in Brooklyn last summer, or the summer before. I don't remember to be quite honest. I do remember getting yelled at by an old man for riding my bike in a park though lol. I'll definitely keep an eye out for a Spyderco wielding worker on a pole when I'm in the area. I imagine my chances would have been better a year or so ago when my Fiancée still kept her apartment in Woodside while she was finishing up her Graduade degree. Now she just commutes to Manhattan.
Very nice BEGLERI beads. I'm prowling around for some... Try a leather who lave vs. the 550 cord. I find I get a better rythm with the leather lace. Again, beautiful work bro.
Nice fixy hardtail
She looks like a good friend for the Cuban!!
