Not so much Every Day Carry kit, but Every Day Car kit, a small socket set from Draper; just over a week ago, the turbo on my car blew the output hose off. Apparently it's a known issue, happens rarely, but is easily fixed - IF you have the right tools to hand. I managed to get the car home (carefully), and repaired the fault shortly thereafter, but it occurred to me that if I'd had the right tools with me, I'd have been able to fix the problem (and others) there and then. So, my extensive and expensive tools will remain at home, and in the car, I'll now have this kit, that stays in the car [edit I don't understand this; the image ain't loading, but the url works fine. weird] http://www.coldwarprovost.org.uk/images/PXL_20210110_024522027.jpg
Technically, maybe not. Practically, absolutely. What I carry on my person is mostly for convenience and situations that occur with regular frequency, but for real problem solving I usually have to retreat to my backpack or car kit.
Took a chance on a Utica knife. Made of 1095 steel with a blade length of 3.5” and overall length of 9.25” Also came with a fire steel and striker as well as a built in sharpener
I got a magnetic battery charger from CountyComm that can also act as a powerbank using a rechargeable battery.
