From BHQ: BM #7 Rescue Hook/strap cutter. Shoulda been here Thursday; I think USPS is still recovering from the holiday. It will reside in the car console...

From Amazon: CRKT Pilar - the Steel body one. And a replacement OtterBox Symmetry Folio for my my iPad mini. Got a little to energetic closing the one I have and snapped the pivot/hinge... :(

You know what? My father wasn't soft on me and brother when we were young (and we were no angels ) Now that I'm older I can thank him for the education he gave us, that's what makes us the men we are today. He was a strict father, but now that me and my brother have our own family, my father softened? And we share a lot more now that we are both adults? He is my father and will always be, but he is also a dear friend, and I know that not everybody share a good relationship with their parents, I find myself lucky that way!

Well, I have to say, it happened again. Surfing through this forum, some pictures and videos came up and I was trapped. This time it were some small Knipex pliers.

I got a new drybag for my first aid kit from EXPED (size S).

Zero organisation but waterproof, smaller and less weight than the pouch I used before.

Miltec sling pack. I like the look, I love the layout but I'm not sure I like it on my back. My cheapo non-tactical triangle thing feels better. I'll wander around the house with it on some more to see if it grows on me, if not it's going back.

Just be careful... once those tendrils penetrate your epidermis you're toast! Oh, sorry. Thought we were group writing a new old school SF thriller...! My bad. LOL

Hope it works out to your satisfaction!

Well it's got me thinking about tactical stuff again, so it sort of has its hooks in!

Finally replaced the last of my incandescent lamps in my collection of Maglite torches (Flashlights) with LED 'bulbs'. This last one to be done was my AAA Mini Maglite, and WOW, it's a vast improvement (bulb sourced through Amazon UK).

A couple of things over the last couple of days or four...

A Platinum Preppy fountain pen, medium nib, black ink; cheap, basic, and being used to hopefully improve my utterly appalling handwriting!

And the latest from Field Notes, their "Three Missions" pack :) (I have another unopened one for the collection ;)

Received this morning, care of another veteran of the RMP (Royal Military Police) here in the UK [IMG]

One for everyday wear, one for special occasions, alongside the (folded) Corps tie for size comparison. Went straight onto my Seiko 7S36 wristwatch with no problems at all [IMG]

Corps and Regiments of the British Army have their own 'corporate identity', so to speak, and Ties with Corps or regimental colours are seen at military-related turnouts; watch straps, on the other hand, tend to be a little more... harder to spot, shall we say. You can easily get standard 18mm ones in my Corps (RMP) colours, but in 22mm? Rarer than hens teeth. Until one of our veterans went about having some made to aid a charity he works for :)

Thorogood 8" boots. Great price from Kohl's (yes Kohl's) after discounts, coupons, store credit (I would never use), etc.
