Last night I ordered a Solkoa survival case with the Reflexite interior lid and Velcro straps to replace my ITS survival tin. I also bought a LM Squirt PS4 to put in there as well.

Here's the anxious conundrum. I want it, yet I don't know why. One, I think it's cool. Two, I think it's absurdly expensive for a little metal box ($48 @ Hard Case Survival) although I can afford it. Three, I want to carry this thing around. Four, I'll never use it.

Just hope my wife doesn't find out. She's gonna be miffed.

Soooo you paid 50 bucks for a double height altoids tin with some straps? Makes no sense whatsoever but i would not mind having one of those myself to be totally fair... Looks cool. Pointless but cool. I would carry some candy in there :)

Exactly. It's pointless but cool. Why I think it's cool is the most vexing part. LOL. You know 20 years ago I never thought I would find myself ogling over a tacticool version of an Altoids tin. I find I'm increasingly becoming a minimalist and getting rid of lots of my "gear." However, I also find that I am seriously maximizing and upgrading what stuff I do have.

Got my #7 Opinel - smaller than I thought it would be. Should have gotten another 8. Oh well - still a great knife and I guess even more pocketable.

If you think the #7 is small, its probably good you did not get a #6! LOL. I have a #6; with a traditional wood handle and SS blade. It suits my needs for slicing up fruit and maybe some cheese ....

I can see how that'd be a good paring knife.

Lets see, I should have the CRKT Batum large, a 12 pack of Surefire CR123A batteries (my G2X has been alone in a drawer for too long!), a red ITW carabiner, and 100 of paracord. And hopefully soon the big U-Wing lego, and May 4th R2! :)

Which Benchmade is this one? Got to be the slenderest Benchmade I've seen -- very nice indeed!
