I have been on a buying frenzy over the last week.

Firstly, for no good reason, a brace of shemaghs:

Secondly, camera straps from Op/Tech. The top pair are "reporter straps" that clip on shoulder straps of a back-pack; the lower pair are simply extensions for the above. I have standardised on Op/Tech straps for my DSLR and P&S bodies, which means I can easily share different straps (wrist, neck, and now ready for use).

From Nitecore I bought a Tube, to replace another that has gone astray, and a diffusor for my NH10.

I wanted an SAK with pliers, so I now have a Handyman.

An update for my EDC pens and pencil. I coloured the red ring on one pen so that I know which has blue ink, the other has red.

Finally, some MOLLE pouches from OneTigris. One bottle carrier and pouch for my EDC back-pack and the other for my camera back-pack. The other pouch is for a phone on the camera bag.

Think I had better lie down now.

An all black shemagh..... that's pretty neat! I have lots of colours but not one of those... must.. resist.... all those others are very sensible quality pieces, i would not mind a mailcall like that one!

I have a shemagh, but it's a more UK-common olive/black job, acquired back when I was in the Territorial Army here in the UK; I believe these days the shemagh the lads tend to buy is brown/tan, to go with the new MTP (Multi-Terrain Pattern) camouflage they use. Either way, they're good kit, with a number of very handy and practical uses :)

It's a common mistake that folks think Ford Prefect was a proponent of towels, when in fact it was the shemagh that he evangelized.

I was thinking the same thing. Haven't tried sucking these yet, so no idea what flavour they are.

You sir are a very trusting person! Most of my relatives are relatively honest but even trust is relative! On the other hand, most of my relatives would not recognise a quality tool or piece of gear if it hit them in the face so i guess i would be safe doing this too ;)

I don't believe my mother-in-law would have any desire to have anything that came in the mail. Plus I have delivery notifications and I know where she lives! :giggle:

I just ordered a Nitecore Thumb. I'd been looking for a small white/red light and this looks like it will fit the bill nicely!

And a comparison pic with my Jetbeam C-LE Ver 1.2 and Ver 2 single AA flashlights, purchased back in 2007. The 1.2 was rated at 80 lumens on high, and the 2 at 100 lumens. The Jet 1 Mk is rated at 150 lumens on a AA battery on high, and 480 in turbo mode with a 14500 rechargeable cell.

And after using it to go out and get the morning paper at the end of the driveway while still dark this morning, I really like this light and it's gonna get a run at replacing my Olight S1 for keychain duty. Need to see if I can find a magnet for the tail end and throw some knot work on it, lol...
