    Hi Wd,
    it's in my own experience surely a great solution as for the rust's prevention, not the same as for the aesthetic and practice (it forms on surfaces a sticky and glossy patina).
    Just my opinion !

    I have a few pair of camo cargo shorts from amazon coming today.
    On order is a bunch of pen kits from beartooth woods. Bolt actions...
    I'm thinking about getting an electric chainsaw to use in my shop to cut up some burls to fit in my bandsaw and on the lathe. I'm debating on either the makita or the worx 16" ones....
    So I'm doing some searching for reviews of em....

    Mail came early today, just delivered to a toasty warm mailbox in the sun, some stainless steel size 8 split rings, good for keychains, keyrings, EDC setups, paracord lanyards, attachments and what not... :)

    Just ordered the Hawkit from Graham Knives. Had a hard time deciding between titanium and s35vn steel but ultimately decided on the steel since weight was not much of a concern for me on this one. Cant wait to get it!

    Well i tried a little bit on my axe head and it dried up nice and fast, took a high shine polish that's not yet sticky at all;
    [IMG]

    Ofc only time will tell if it stays this nice and if it will keep the rust away but its worth a shot!

    I haven't had a chance to try out one of the rexford ones unfortunately but for what they go for they are more than likely better build quality than these. But for the price I got it for it isn't too bad.

    Got a Boker Tech Tool 1 I just ordered should be here in 4 to 8 days. First carbon fiber knife. It's a slip joint with a clip so I'm excited, my problem with Case and SAKs is it just sit at the bottom of your pocket and I wear gloves a lot doing HVAC and it's impossible to reach in and get it

    Got me a Böker Exskelibur II Ebony recently. Been drawn to the shape of the blade and the simplicity of the knife for a while and finally pulled the trigger. Was debating whether to go with the Ti framelock version - S35VN would have been nice, but in the end I just liked the look of the ebony version better (the combination of the wooden handles and the anodized Ti liners is just really classy, imho). And for a gentleman knife, 440C is more than fine for me.

    For my SAK's I use a P7 dangler attached to the split ring on the knife. Takes care of that problem. Most of my Case knives of course do not have that capability; I let them ride in a leather slip case in my pocket. Which I admit won't help much in your case....
