So now i can sharpen the kitchen knives without having to hear any excuses about how she wont cut anything for the next couple of days!

If these hold up half worth a darn then ill get me one or two as well, i think these will do great for woodworking!

And if they are not a nice for woodworking i can always pretend to be a knight of the round table!

I lost my $3.85 Walmart folder, so I decided to splurge and order this Iron Mike folder for $11.75 on Amazon Prime. It's got great reviews.

This is why I personnaly don't EDC expensive gear. A guy like me tends to lose items now and again. That way if it's lost or stolen, I won't be crying over it.

Just arrived today. After seeing the zebra f701 feature so much on the forums I thought I'd give it a shot. Unfortunately you can't just walk in to a shop and pick one up here so I had to buy it online, I can see why it's so popular though. Oh and I thought I'd buy my surge a present too

For some reason the SAK scissors seem to work great on paracord.

The Victorinox scissors have worked fine for me with paracord, but the Wenger SAK and Leatherman Squirt scissors had some difficulty in making a clean cut, so I avoid using them for that if I can. My usual scissors for paracord and other cordage knot work are most often Fiskars Micro-Tips. ;)

I think I missed something. Why not just use a knife?

Scissors are more precise for trimming cord ends in hand(think decorative knot work), where sometimes the ends aren't long enough to easily fold over a knife blade edge to cut, or not being where one can lay the cord down on a surface and use the blade to cut that way either. ;)

I ordered a RUSH 24 to replace my old beat up lifeguard/swim/kayak/adventure bag. I ordered it from Amazon with the super cheap shipping and was expecting it by the end of next week. Imagine my surprise and delight when it was on the porch waiting for me when I came home from work. My first expensive backpack and second expensive pack overall. You guys just keep getting me to spend money, you enablers.

I also have some polarized safety glasses on the way from safetyglassesusa.

I'm making a new FAK. I signed up for a Red Cross First Aid class (FA,CPR, AED) in July. I just ordered a LA Policegear small BOB, EMT shears, 2 Israeli bandages, CPR mask kit, and US flag patch for the front.

A new and improved Gates belt wear gauge. Don't know how often I'll use it though, since I replaced the old belts on my truck just over a year ago (at over 15 years old the original v-belts belts were squealing a bit, lol, but might come in handy checking friends/family vehicle serpentine belts)... :D

Received a can of wax today!

Ive always covered my rust-prone tools and gear in bearing oil before storage but that makes everything sticky, yellow and disgusting... so im hoping this will make a decent replacement! Only time will tell.
