i just use a simple fleece hoodie
:highfive: Good for you :roof:
Does it have many pockets?
I emailed them before I saw Elmo's post,this is their reply;
Thank you for your email.
To confirm we are able to ship orders directly to the US. The cost for this is £20.00 for orders up to £100, £25 between £100-£200 and £30 over this.
Card payment can be made.
the Rohan jacket has just been further reduced to only £65, guess I should have waited a few weeks before getting mine
That's a nice alternative.
I bought one!
I think it's a better deal than the Rohan:
• color selection
• water resistant [teflon coating]
• famous Woolrich quality
• better pockets
Hey, glad you're happy with it. I'm also interested. Can you please take some photos of the jacket whilst you're wearing it - I'd like to see how it fits etc.....
thanks in advance
+1 on the request for more pictures of the Algerian Field Jacket. Rohan is all sold out in my size. Does the Algerian have hand warming pockets?
I haz a sad. The women's version is sold out in my size.
Thanks for the pointer to the company, though, looks like good gear.
I got a 5.11 Sabre jacket (Black) from my wife for Christmas/Birthday and I absolutley love it.
5.11 Tactical Sabre Jacket
It is comfortable for most weather and when it gets really cold I just layer a zip-up hoodie sweatshirt under it and and have found it to be toasty at -15 F. (MN/WI winters...sheesh)
I just got a Scottevest Evolution Travel Jacket and LOVE it. so many pockets and waterproof.
post some pictures please
Posting back to report my experiences with Rohan -
I emailed Customer Service to ask them if they could locate my size in a store, since the website was sold out. They did, and took my payment information over the phone. Mere DAYS later - less than a week! - I had the assignment jacket in hand. So mad props to their customer service.
The jacket fits perfectly and is probably one of the more flattering items I own. The canvas fabric does indeed feel "bullet-proof" but is not thick or heavy; it is lightweight and drapes well, wears comfortably. The pockets are not as numerous as a ScotteVest but there are still more of them (and more utilitarian) than your average jacket. Both the internal and external pockets are well concealed and I didn't find several of them until I took the jacket off and inspected it closely.
So, thumbs up for this jacket. Thanks for the recommendation!
I haven't taken any pictures yet but here's a link to there site.
I really enjoy the EOTAC jacket. I like that it has snaps and not velcro. Not overly fond of the half zipper, but being in west Texas there isn't a lot of need for it to be closed up.
If you could use a sport coat style, the Presentation Jacket from Duluth Trading is perfect. It has 13 pockets and can be had in several styles/colors/material. Take a look:
It can fit into almost any setting except formal, and the longer you wear/wash it the softer and more flexible it becomes.
I've just received the Rohan, the fit and finish is just fine. Lots of nice secure pockets. I've only worn it once but already I love it, especially like the two way zip which means you can keep it done up in the car by unzipping the bottom half.
How is the Rohan on 'true to size'?
Does the Assignment Jacket allow for a light fleece underneath or layering of any kind?
Cabela's Travel Jacket
Outback Trading Oilskin Oxford Jacket
Cabela's Canvas Field Coat
Does anyone have any expirence with these? Tempted to try these out since they are on sale.
