I'll admit I am a thrift store junkie and DAV and goodwill are my drug. Much of my edc is thrift store items. Almost all of my clothes and accessories are thrift store bought as well. Just something about nice stuff for 1/5 or less of the cost of new. Sent from my LGL33L using Tapatalk
I had some store credit at the consignment store, walked out with Cole Hann Resort Penny Loafers in light brown. I guess I am over the bedroom slipper look. Nice summer shoe.
I love thrift stores. In the last couple of months I have found two north face backpacks; brooks brothers, columbia, 5.11, ll bean and a couple of masters golf shirts; polo, columbia, mountain khaki and izod pants and shorts and a sewing machine. My wife and daughters want to put me on Goowill restriction. Haha
Probably the last summer outfit of the season, all thrifted. Light blue summer weight blazer, with white khakis. White pressed Pin Point Cotton Button Down collar with Brooks Bros multi colour cotton tie, and suede wingtips. got a 'Very dapper Sir' out of Trader Joe's this morning.
I like thrift stores. My favorite pair of jeans and shorts came from one, can't beat, less than $10 between the two with proceeds going to charity.
My father is really good at reselling thrift store or junk pick-ups. some things like furniture he had to put work into but then would make a large profit off. As a kid I hated it because he would tell me he would take me somewhere but on the way he would stop at all the thrift stores and I thought it was embarrassing. Now I admire what he was able to do.
Just got a medium grey vest, will look great with a couple of my jackets, Navy mainly. ebay purchase with good measurements.
First Day of Fall and found a Dark Brown Glen Plaid Sport Coat by Ralph Loren Chaps, great fit (now that I am a big heavy).
Fortunately there's a Goodwill less than a mile from my house in our military community. So there's ALWAYS lots of stuff being donated to Goodwill due to people having to move. There's usually plenty of new or nearly new goods in there. I've scored lots of good stuff there.
Truth said. My dad was a wise hard working man who put family first every day of his life. I was amazed by him more and more as I grew older and realized how much he knew. I'll never fill those shoes but I will always try. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This is the third time I have walked in and found a better jacket than the one I have. This is a Navy Blazer, Munsingwear, 38-S. shrinking is no fun.
