This is one of my all time favourite watches. It's brutal, big and does what it says on the tin but you'll need a decent arm to keep this one proportionate! Tough as nails, it's 300m waterproof and you could bang in your tent pegs with it in a pinch! I've had 3 of these over the years. If they were 2mm smaller across the case I'd still have one but 46.6mm is just a tad large for me. If you can pull it off, though, it's a serious piece of kit!
I love the look and feel over them. I must say they wear better on a rubber strap. The bracelet is great but it really turns the watch into a mega beast. Just ove 250g together as I recall.
I personally prefer the looks of the GSAR but that's a gorgeous watch too. Maybe one will cross my path someday
Anybody know how I find dealers or resellers in the Los Angeles area? I'd like to see one in person before I pull the trigger, but the website wasn't very helpful and googling "marathon watch Los Angeles" returns a different kind of marathon and a different meaning of watch. Any help would be appreciated. Sent from my XT1528 using Tapatalk
Curious, why would you like domed glass? It seems like it would be more prone to damage and possible dial distortion.
About to pull the trigger on a tsar medium. Before I do, is there anything else I should look at. Only requirement is tritium and not huge.
I had the TSAR and found it a bit too small for my liking, even though I have a smallish wrist. I wouldn't hesitate to get another one though. Tough as nails. They look great on Nato, Rubber, and with the bracelet. Does anyone have a GSAR or JSAR, and the million dollar question is can you fit it under a dress shirt cuff? Thanks!
From memory the diameter is less but the height is about the same. Sent from my SM-T560NU using Tapatalk
Gsar. Not so much. I'll try and remember to measure the height later on but it is substantial. update: almost exactly 1/2" at its thickest Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
