Big fan of Raw Denim. Have a few pair of Levis, but dont wear them because they feel 'sloppy' to me - its just the cut. They are 514 and I dont prefer that cut any longer. But I wore those two pair on an almost daily basis for about 3 years (fall-winter-spring and then while on my motorcycles in the summer) and loved the wear on them. AND they never got a bad odor. With having two pair, and putting some khaki pants into the mix too, it allowed time to air dry and such. Ive done the freezing method. Airing out Febreeze Never got an odor. In three years I may have washed each pair twice. Hand wash in cool water, VERY LITTLE soap used. Air dry. I plan to pick up some 513 cut, maybe 511, Levis soon. I like Levi because of the low entry price and good quality. I know of other makers who charge much much more, and are made by hand, but I just cant justify the cost. Sorry, no pics. In the future though!
Also - make sure you put down a towel on your fabric when wearing these at first lol Seen some friends stain couches from a new pair of jeans
Thanks! The belt/buckle were handmade by a fellow. The belt is made from old military ammo pouches, and the buckle is hammered stainless steel. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
That's incredible. That's the kind of belt you can use forever. Beautiful craftsmanship!!! Hats off to your friend!! Sent from my 2PQ93 using Tapatalk
Goodnight to you all with one of my most cherished possessions: 1950s Lee 101LJ Denim Jacket w/ Blanket Lining. Sent from my 2PQ93 using Tapatalk
I have a few pairs of the TAD inceptor PD jeans. They got their denim from the White Oak plant in Greensboro, NC (the one that closing/closed was America’s oldest running mill over 110yrs) It’s a “traditional 5-pocket silhouette with modernized lines, shank button fly, and industrial detailing. 11.75 ounce sanforized, raw denim feels substantial, but features one percent elastane for agility.” The pocket placement is off the charts and allows for a crazy amount of EDC gear at relative comfort. The Back two yoke pockets steal the show and place them in a group all to their own. If you CCW the yoke pockets provide a excellent spare clip holder and with the Hyve +2 makes it ride deep enough to not be noticeable but can still be quickly accessed. Here is a pair that I’ve had for a little over a year with one wash. here is a load out of my EDC while wearing the Inceptor jeans: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Wow. The deep blue on those is beautiful. The jeans I wear are also Cone mills White Oak (rest in peace). I love the character and the history! Thanks for sharing and I love how versatile those are for EDC! Sent from my 2PQ93 using Tapatalk
Gilded Age: Raw, indigo, selvage denim made in Japan 3 years old like this pair a lot they fit right in the back without being too tight, my wife really dislikes “old man jeans” as she calls em if there too loose in the back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
21oz Iron Heart's - I've worn them sparingly, thus they're far from being broken in. But, they've softened up a lot with wear Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
Really like these, do they have an online shop? No old man jeans prob for me. Even if I’m old years and years of worshipping on the Westside altar makes ’loose in the back’ night on impossible <evilgrin> Sent from my NSA monitored iPhone using Tapatalk
Yep they sure do: https://gildedagenyc.com/collections/denim If your savvy you could look on e-Bay and score some 50-70% off Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
