I have questions. First I'm not sure of the shape. It doesn't say how long it is. I'd like to see it next to a D2. I'd like to see it with a split ring. It says, *Integrated pocket clip* 5 locator vials in total, custom installations also available So it sounds like the tritium is extra. I'm on the fence.
I can't justify it. I just bought my 1st mcgizmo, and have depleted all my toy fund. Have gun, Will travel.
Watch the video, its about the size of 'old fashioned' USB ThumbDrives (before they went stupidly small) Lovingly transmitted by Nexus 6 droid
I would like to find a spare battery holder for 44DD. The battery is a 10220. At first I thought the one I bought for my D2 black and stainless lights would work but the 10220 is too long, 22mm long, which makes it to long for my other idea, the Countycomm Pico Pull. The Pico Pull is 17mm interior depth. Anybody have any suggestions? I'm going to have to look at the me light mentioned above. I'm also looking for more QTC pills. They seem to get chewed up. One final question, what is the best thread lube for Ti light? I have done Nyogel 760g on the way. Thanks, Jeff Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
I did watch the video but there was nothing to compare it too. Also, it sounds like there is no split ring, just the built in pocket clip. And you are suppose to send in $375 and then he'll let you know the addition costs? I will pass and stick with key rng flashlights.
There are no additional costs unless you want a custom tritium setup, which would mean more machining. It includes the 5 tritium in the locations seen in the photo: one in the switch, one to either side of the switch and the two on the back (above and below the clip)
And how much is that? Like I said, I don't think it's a key ring light, so I'll pass. Kyle, thanks so much for all the help you have been on my D collection.
- 10220 batteries should fit into the AAA Delrin Battery Locker if you don't mind padding it with a cotton swab or something. The 10220 is essentially half the size of a AAA battery (10mm wide, 22mm long = 10220). - As for QTC, you could try emailing Veleno. If that doesn't work, I am pretty sure I've seen people buy some off the popular auction site. - I use the Nyogel 760 and it appears to work well. I seem to remember reading that it's what Mac used in all his custom lights.
I can put it in the case but the screw down cap does not close completely. What did you do to get the 10220 to fit? Thanks
My experience with PFPE/PTFE greases is mainly DuPont Krytox GPL-205 and 240-AB. I use GPL-205 on the SS & Ti Quantums.
Anyone sad for the loss of the Quantum D2, maybe check out the CooYoo Quantum on GearBest, looks very similar, choice of materials, some have a nice big attachment point. I wouldn't be surprised to hear that Veleno sold them the design, though perhaps them ripping it off is just as likely. Maybe I'll ask. I have one incoming, will report back when it arrives.
