PM me your address and I'll put it in the mail later or tomorrow:) Though when I used it recently I saw it has an expiration date on the vial. Some day in January 2013. Though it is probably like anything else where it still works fine, but probably starts getting less "glue-y".

Although I liked the original outcome of my stonewashing quite alright, I wasn't totally satisfied with it. With the stones as tumbling medium it didn't get that really matt, abused finish I was gunning for, I wanted it to look like it had been jangling with keys in my pocket for decades. So I disassembled the light and threw it in the pot again, but this time with a handful of coins. Now I have got exactly how I wanted it originally!

And if anybody else has a problem with flickery and unstable operation of the light, I've emailed Steve and he suggested to rub the QTC pill on both sides on a clean sheet of paper, to get all the dirt and oils of it. Another fix could be loosening and tightening the retaining ring with a pair of tweezers. My DD works fine now!

I just got off the phone with Tower! That was cool:) I had his shipping info already and forgot so I went to the PO and shipped him the Norland's and the 2 (regular) blue trits that I had:) If anyone else needs the Noland's, just holla! Tower can send it to you when he gets all of his trits ordered/installed.

Thanks for the info on the QTC pill, Toemke. Looks great, btw:)

Another vial question.... so I know it's meant to be 1.5mm width, but does anyone know if a 2mm will fit?

I can get those cheap/easily over here.

Probably not, I measured a 1.51mm diameter on the slots with digital calipers.

Great speaking with you, SAK! Thank you for calling. This is so typical of our family here. KAMM gave her excess Norland (NOT inexpensive) adhesive to SAKp. He has passed it on to others and is now sending it to me along with a pair of trits! Feels like home!

BTW, you may or may not know this, but SAKp is a SUPER-DAD!

I agree. It doesn't seem like much, but the 2x6 are noticeably larger.

Is this light a twisty? I guess it is.

Unfortunately yes it's a twisty. It's also a very stiff twisty. Be prepared to use two hands. Even with removing the QTC pill, it's still stiff. The o-ring is just a hair too big giving it a lot of resistance.

I actually don't mind that. The Streamlight nano was way too easy to twist, I had it turn on in my pocket numerous times, even falling apart. My sister actually lost the LED part of hers this way. There is no way this can happen with the DD.

I believe it's headed to tower right now so maybe he'll send it to you or SAK will send it to you. :)

Hey KAMM, when you ordered your Norland, how long did it take for it to arrive? I ordered mine three weeks ago, and I'm still waiting for it...kinda starting to wonder what's up.

It was pretty quick. Only took the regular amount of business days. You should email them!

The Lady is correct:) In the mail to Tower yesterday! Tower has some trits ordered and when he's done with it he'll mail it out to the next person in need. All you need to d is convo with Tower to see what the time frame is and send your address.

Be sure to thank KAMM everyone...it was her purchased Norland's that we all get to share:)

Thanks again KAMM! I got to use it twice;)
