    Thanks.
I'm not to confident in painters tape either, I think I'm going to try the hot glue. I will post pics when done, but won't have time for it for a couple of days.

The Quantum is the newly released "affordable" version of the 40DD. The original run of 40DD was limited. Every one who was late complained. People tried reselling them for outrageous fortunes. Steve Ku realized he needed to do something to satisfy the hungry masses and the Quantum DD was made.

And we are ever thankful for Steve not trying to keep his awesome product exclusive and making it available to the masses.

It was really smart of Steve. He did all the legwork and making an entry level product got it into the hands of a HUGE clientele base. Now half of us will be tempted to buy the next one in Ti or some of his custom mods.

The best companies out there have a fairly wide model line. Having loss leaders (or "on par" models) is important if you want to culture a growing following. Sell a kid a Ford Focus and 10 years later he/she buys a new Super Duty and a Explorer for the spouse. Win-win.

This model sure has generated a lot of interest in the last little while. I remember when the Ti model was announced, looking at it, liking it and thinking it's too expensive. If another one comes out at the right time (for me) I will probably jump on it. I just hope that the Q DD isn't a loss leader for Ku. The guy's gotta make some money for his hard work.

Well thank you Keye_el!! I have been in want of the Ice Blue Trits for my Quantum and he hooked me up!!
So I got to experiment with trit removal today...
I went to Home Depot and Bought there paint brush cleaner...same ingredients as the stripper, but a dollar cheaper.
I filled a Altoids small tin with some and stood the Quantum up in it. About 10 minutes and the trits popped right out. I used my SAK Mechanic's small blade to get under them and push them up.

I put in the Ice Blue trits and decided a little more Norlands wouldn't hurt, so I put some at the bottom of the trit as well as a good drop on top. Here, in the sunlught, you may notice that the trit is embedded in Norlands.

Well I wouldn't want that to happen. Looks like I light have been misleading you...it turns out not to be, specifically, paint brush cleaner;). I suppose it's good for ALL dirty brushes:)

I have to retire my ZA-4 Firefli necklace this year because the flickering it does is getting to me, and I think the Quantum is my go to. I would really love a TiFli that was made on CPF proper, but they were a small run batch. Anyone holding a TiFli and want to get rid of it?!
I have a ARC LS and 5 battery tubes, that should get me enough scratch to afford one, Id like to think!
Now, to find more pics of people wearing DD's on necklaces...

Thats how I can keep my old toothbrush going! Yay! The Plumbah has saved me 59 cents by allowing me to keep my toothbrush indefinitely! I'll try to avoid suing you for the brain damage!
