I remember myself not to long ago telling myself i would never pay that much money for a small light and battery holder now I have the DD lol before that telling myself that glowing items on my keychain is stupid now I have a TEC Glow Fob lol.... it is all down hill from here buddy lol gets better when you go to spend $35+ on Mcgizmo clips and stuff for your key chain. lol
It's here!!! Man, this is such a beauty. And heavy. It's like a little piece of jewelry, as I'd hoped. It's the same height as a Firefli, but 4 times as round. If I can get used to the size, this Quantum may be one of the most useful things I've ever owned, along with my Leatherman. The low really is crazy low, like barely a glow. I plan on using this at around 2-10lumens, so it's nice I can just give it a gentle turn and dial up a soft light. Now it has to pass "The Wife Test". As in, will she thinks it looks ridiculous on my neck.
Right you are. I just sealed trits into the DD and D2! Curing in the sunlight now. It takes a fraction of a micro-drop. I will forward the Norland to stax next, but fair warning, it seems to be getting a bit viscous. Not sure for how many more applications it is good. Will U.S. Post this week. That sucks about the norland. Does anyone know anywhere else other then the other forum to buy it at? I can't get him to respond to pms or email. You could continue the "passaround" Other folks are going to need the stuff...especially since the Quantum D2 has released.
Since you can order on line, I don't think they give a RA if you're an individual. It can be had as cheaply as $13 and as far as waste goes, there will always be members to whom you can donate your excess.
I'm gonna need some of that stuff myself. Will most likely order a bottle and send it back into circulation. I'll keep ya'll posted.

You don't really need the norland! This special glue is only required, when you have to cover the whole vial with glue. But with the DD that's not the case, you only need the cover the end of the slots, so the vials don't slide out. Silicon glue and epoxy will do the job. I've installed mine with epoxy and it holds up great. Steve Ku himself recommends this method over at CPF!
I just used a smear of silicon on the top of the trits on my Quantam DD, it's holding up fine and if I want it change out the trits it is easy as its not sealed in fully.
