Seems there are a few pipe smokers on the board and I figured I'd start a thread to discuss all things pipe related. Tell us what you're smoking, review a new blend, show off your new pipe, etc...

Anywho, I just lit up my Falcon with a bowl full of 4Noggins' "Bald Headed Teacher". One of my favorite blends...

Nice pipe. I gave mine away years ago when I quit cigarettes. At the time I didn't think I could handle the occasional pipe without going back to a pack a day of cigarettes. It's been almost two years of a cigar 3 to 5 times per month and no cigarettes so I think I'm safe. I need to get a few new ones.
Btw there's a pipe thread around here somewhere already, but I'm too lazy to find it.

I love the looks of that one. That does it. I'm not buying any more cigars until I've bought a pipe! The family that owns my favorite local shop also carves pipes. And they currently have some good looking estate pipes for sale. Time to start saving!

Nice. I wish we had a shop that at least did repairs here. The only shop that even sells pipes and tinned tobacco is phasing out of their pipe merchandise. I heard they have 50% off all tinned tobacco right now so at least I might get some baccy for a deal.

I smoke 4noggins Essence of Vermont. Great all day smoke. Looking to try some of their others. I was getting tobacco from pipe works and wilke but they got very pricey

Yup. I love em. I have another that matches only it's smooth and not sandblast. It's pretty beat up though as it was my work pipe for years. I replaced the stem and it needs to be fitted.

Just lit up a bowl of Orlik's "Golden Sliced" in a Peterson 999 bent Rhodesian. This should last me all evening. lol!

Got this from my girlfriend half a year ago. Very happy with it! The last one was from Etsy, and broke after a year or so.

She also got me the stand, which I think is tacky and supercool at the same time.

Got a Peterson Donegal Rocky from the 80's in an estate for $5 and still use it. The previous owner kept it up like crazy.
Best pipe tobacco around is any Frog Morton blend.
(I'm partialed towards englishes as they burn smooth, cool, and have quite a Nic hit.)

Agreed on everything you said, I love the Frog Morton blends, but I also really like the McClelands Three Oaks Syrian and Blue Mountain as well.

There's a local chain that has its own pipe tobacco tins named after civil war battlefields. Some are absolutely delicious.

Haven't had any McClelands, I don't think. As long as it's not aromatic, I'm game!

Frog Morton is made by McClelands. I use tobaccoreviews to see what others think of the tobaccos I'm interested in.
