I am doomed to have a different answer for this question every day...

For today my answer is... Victorinox SwissChamp.

I really hate the fact that I had to sell my Large Sebenza years ago during hard times. I think if I could only have one folder, that would be it. One of the Large 'Benzas in BG-42 or one of the early S30V.

If I could only have one knife to survive with, it would be my ESEE SERE-5, hands down.

    1. Spyderco Delica4 FFG (which I carry 90%) - Very good steel imo (granted there are better out there), ergos of the knife fit my hand pretty well for a 3 inch blade and my large hand. Nice 4 way pocket clip.
    2. Boker Trance 10% - Slim, framelock (which I like), and a great bargain at $25.

I'm limited to a blade 3 inches or under here in MI which reduces my choices significantly.

For me it's a Tinker or Super Tinker SAK. I carry one or the other every day. When not at work I also carry a Leatherman Core and then rotate some sort of locking blade knife in the front pocket but the knife I go to most of the time to use it the SAK.

for me its my case pen knife, not the "coolest" knife around but it is really the most practical and useful knife for me.

I've still been extremely pleased with the Kershaw Rake. Good steel on the cutting edge, very strong construction, solid liner lock and I'm particularly partial to the curved belly. Very grippy G10 but not too abrasive. Very functional and secure clip. A/O is also a plus if you like that feature.

On the smaller side, it's the Strider PT for me. Nice thin blade that can get extremely sharp. I've been stripping copper wire with mine earlier today and no touch up was needed after finishing.

I've got a Rake on my list of knives to get. Been postponing it lately. Might have to bump it up, because they are fantastic.

Consider getting one from Dave (kershawguy). He has blems for $59 shipped. I was so impressed, I also purchased one for my nephew who is LEO. Neither one had the usual xxxx markings. His shipping is very fast, 2-3 days in hand.

Small Sebenza. Or, for the same price, many, many Case knives.

The Ritter Mini-Grip was :censored: good when I had one. Good for everything that I need it for. I'd get another one, but I think I want a bigger blade this time around.

For me, my Emerson CQC-7V is my perfect EDC knife. It's the right size for my pocket, opens flawlessly and is dang sharp. The tanto blade gives me lots of cutting options and it's a darn rugged knife.

This was a tough one for me. I really like my Spyderco Para2 & Delica 4 as well as my Benchmade Mini Griptillian. However, considering i can't always have a pocket clip showing especially in slacks, my ideal knife is my Case Mini Copperlock with Amber Bone Scales. It is the perfect size for carry in any situation and does everything i need it to do. All around great little knife.

I haven't even held one yet, but the butterflies in my stomach say Spyderco's Southard Flipper ^.^
