The Parry Blade and Parry Hunter Survival Knives

    My son and me went shopping for survival knives.

    I bought the Parry blade:



    My son bought the Parry Hunter:

    Interesting knifes, did you purchase them in the U.K. or from the U.S.?
    Which model to you like better, I always try to go lighter, as in weight.
    Both look very functional.

    Hi SS,

    While both knives hve their place I must say that if it came to only having one in a survival situation I would want the Parry Blade.

    However, for more general use I would go for the Hunter due to it's lighter weight and smaller size.

    Although I have extensivly use both (can't help myself) I feel that I will buy a Hunter to go with my Parry Blade, just to complete the set and to give me the best of both worlds.

    At the time of buying these I bought the Parry Blade from the manufacturer Samuel Staniforth in Shefield UK ( Scorpion Knives ) The Hunter was not available in the UK but my son found one at the USA agent, Forge Survival Supply.

    the Parry Hunter very nice, looks a little like the schrade X-Timer camp knife, i love that shape it looks tough.
