Looks great! I have 2 of them... dont know what to use them on (yet) but this gives me some ideas! Thanks!
I just got my Larva with rawbar finish and antique stamp the other day. Its my first actual Atwood tool and i love it. I also got two bronze lanslides with rifle knurl. I was thinking about using one for a bracelet or something lol.
Just contacted Atwood and got a LockNut Monster for my fathers birthday... but i'm thinking about keeping it for myself and getting him something different... I don't have an Atwood yet and desperately need to add one to my EDC! He had a Larva tool and various Lanslides left if anyone needs one of those. Are "Atwoodite" numbers still available? I would love to have one once the LNM comes in!
I cant wait to get the stamp larva.. It would nicely with my bronze whistle. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
Post pictures when you do get it.... I love looking at those old die stamps he puts on his tools. They're all so unique and it's pretty cool that they came from really old machine shops (or wherever they came from) in England.
The last atwood piece I recieved was the first wave of atwood bronze whitsles, keeping it in an air tight seal so it stays in mint condition . I can't believe I actually saw the purchasing link and passed on the latest larva tools w/ stamp and brass whistles. I'm holding out for the G5 prybabies and hopefully a dace (keeping fingers crossed).
I took this pic for another thread but thought I would post it here as well. Atwood 3 Dot Lanslide in light blue with ultra blue glow dots:
I got it yesterday.. Its bigger than I thought! I love it. Ill post some pics soon Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
In a surprising twist - I actually bought two Atwood pieces with the specific intent of EDC, not just to satisfy my inner geardo collection. -Trevor
Im with you in that one, I use what I buy. I find it pointless buying something just to store it. Atwood tools are nice, kinda making not want to use them but u will. Pics coming Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
crappy cell phone pics but this is what i can do for now... lol the stamp blends with the finish of the larva, kinda hard to tell what it is lol but its still good, i dont mind, love it. ill try to get some better pics
I hadn't heard of Peter Atwood (or EDC forums) until a couple of months ago. Now look what you've done! I keep the Double-header in my workshop apron, and one of the little tools (ghost, chigger or larva) on my keychain. The others live somewhere around my desk.
I was in class while the sale was up, so I missed it. He said that the end of April will be really busy for him, so hopefully that means lots of goodies for us. I can't wait to get my first one.
