Thanks for the warm welcome, Rico801 :)

The love bugs are soo cute, is that a special breed that Peter only sells as a couple?

On the technical side, i am wondering if Peter ever mentioned what hardness his steel tools come with. I know that the heat treater is doing a sample test on each batch, but don't recall any specs.
Besides the scientific interest that would tell if hardened steel screws would leave marks or rather the other way around.

Thanks! My wife even commented on the Superbugs picture. She said it looked like a "happy tool". :lolhammer:

I agree, they sure make me happy. :)

Today arrived my beautiful score - Sumo with High Voltage pattern:

This picture shows the pattern how it looks in a daily light:

Initially I bought it for a trade. But it is nicer than I expected... It is even accompanied with the handwritten card! :)

    :iagree:

I really love the grip, neat how Peter came up with that type of handle design.

That's ok. Judging by the comments there:
    1. They aren't interested due to cost.
    2. They don't know how to use the wrench.
    3. They don't know what the hex hole is for.

I wouldn't worry too much about it...wrong market.

    Hi,

Let me introduce myself, I'm the competition. I joined the lottery a few days ago for the DLC MSOPThings but did not win. I first heard about Atwoods and then this site via boingboing. My presence here will only make it more difficult for you to score a future Atwood. ;)

Seriously though, only good things can come from more people being aware/appreciative of the EDC philosophy/gear.

Yeah, some of the collections here definitely have me seeing green; but hey, we all gotta start somewhere.

I just wanted to say Hi in here. Gosh there are some _amazing_ tools posted in this thread!

I've been lusting after many of Peter's tools for what seems like an age now but never managed to snag any until recently. I'm now the proud owner of a Superbug and a pair of Big shots, and I have a Fixer on the way... I'm not one of those people that will put these in a safe, they are to be used, the superbug is now part of my edc kit. Although I have to say if I ever managed to pick up a Damascus item or any one-off or v-rare item, that may well go in the safe, but then it would be difficult to look at and adore on a daily basis!)

Is anyone on here the proud owner of the item Damascus imp? http://www.atwoodknives.com/home/16078520.php - cos if so I have a lung or kidney I'd be interested in a swap! :D

I'll get round to doing some shots of my tools in the not too distant future if possible!

Agreed. Many of them are cheapskates or non-comprehenders. :(

    Sweet pictures of that Fixer!
If Peter would make some metric ones i'd be all over them :)

I got some really nice piece of titanium today though, a gold anodized Ti ruler with some sweet details ;D
It is a stonewashed one with a nice play of color ranging between yellow gold and rose. Plus it has an awesome stamp that came out beautiful!

Alright alright, here are pics for you all! :smitten:
