I had to wear a tie in the past. I HATED IT. But I'm over it now. For today. My daughter and I are hopping on the last flight of our Saga in a few minutes. We will all be together again shortly. Already miss my dog.
Yes, not enthused about a tie, but thought, well its not a ruck, LBE, or vest with kevlar plates, LOL. Hoping you are having safe travels, despite the unfortunate circumstance. Even tho its nice traveling with the whole family, their is something special about father and daughter traveling together under difficult times (or anytime). Had the same situation when my mother passed, really brought my daughter and I closer.
We are at our destination. We had a ton of fun together along the way, and I think you are right it has been a great bonding experience.
@ Roadwizard: Congratulations! My three today: I have family visiting We had a barbeque tonight. To large pieces of beef, oven potatoes, a salad and my home made BBQ sauce. The skiff is still afloat, and the engine actually starts every time! Took her fishing for mackerel this morning. We didn't catch any, but had a really nice time in the sun.
So far today is turning out to be okay even though I'm working today and it's my birthday. It's not too hot and muggy I managed to get some extra help in my department without having to ask for it.
Thanks! The most interesting part was the class of 2026 signs. She has a lot of years of school ahead of her lol
Congrats to your daughter. 2026 holy crap that seems so far away. The ugly guy looks very proud of his wee girl.

Very somber day today, I had to bury the male goat (about 200lbs) that we've had on our property for about 11 years, poor thing. A very agonizing experience I wouldn't wish on any man, we are all taking it very hard especially my mother. But, despite all that I have a lot of exciting things going on right now as well! I just received my new traditional leather sheath for my Buck 110. My 1st wedding anniversary is on June 22nd. My wife and I are really getting into freshwater fishing and we are looking to go out and catch some bass as soon as we can! This thread is amazing and it's great to send and receive good vibes, I really love the fact that there is a place on the forum for topics like this. Sent from a rotary phone
It truly is a great spot to share. Good and bad plenty of support either way. Regardless of the critter if it has been around that long not has to be a tough loss. Understand completely, I am often accurately accused of loving animals more than people.
Congrats to your daughter, and remember these days with fond memories, cause when she hits those teen years, will probably drive you crazy (mine did).
