    Good morning Mikey -

At present, the XF out-of-the-box software doesn't provide members with ability to edit thread titles. Yes, that's an issue, particularly with B/S/T threads when seller wants to announce new items added, or flag thread with "SOLD." Appears to be software add-on written by third party that provides capability; Jon is, I believe, investigating as we speak and, if all looks well, think he'll be adding. Can't give you time-frame.

Fortunately, can do a workaround for now. If you'll post specifics here (which thread, the nature of your modification), I will do the edits for you.

    Standing by. :)

    Good Afternoon,

I was just going to change the title to not show any specific items so I dont have to worry about editing it each time so if you could just remove everything specific like the items listed, updated date, then that would be fine.

    Thanks,
    Mike

That will be fixed. There is a code modification that can be done or an add-on that can be done. We are going to figure out what the best way to do this is.

I'm not a fan of the way each new post appears inside the previous posts like a PM quotation. As the thread gets longer everything (including pictures) gets squished into an ever decreasing space.

Is this how it is for everyone or just me using an iPad?

Hmm. Not experiencing what you describe (laptop), and yours is the first comment like this I've seen. Obviously, if someone replies with a quote included then what you describe happens to some extent, but you shouldn't see that with every post as you suggest ("each new post appears inside the previous posts").

Any other iPad users who can share their experience?

    Do you mean conversations?

I think xbanker posted a "faq" on it.. But basically you "leave conversation" at the bottom of the message.

That way doesnt seem the right way! If I make it where I dont get anymore conversations, which I get casual ones replied to even weeks later but different subject, then I wouldnt receive it because it is more of a "block" than a "delete".

Sometimes, if I want to PM someone, I will just go to my inbox and reply to one that I have already received without starting a new one but my message wont be about the same subject. Does that make sense?

    Thanks for the link though!

Maybe I'm not keeping up. Let me rephrase to see if we're on same page:
    • You send/initiate conversation to someone, but they don't immediately reply.
    • A week later (or whatever), you decide to delete.
    • You delete by "leaving" the message as described in tutorial; for Future Message Handling, you select Accept Future Messages, which means if recipient of your original message replies, as you say, "even weeks later," the message/conversation will be restored to your list and viewable as though you'd never deleted it.
You called it "more of a block than a delete." Actually, this method is more of an "archive" than a delete. It's removed from your viewable conversation list, but is stored for future retrieval if/when there's future activity. Not much different than under the old PM-system really (but actually better). That is, if you sent me a PM, then deleted the PM from your "Sent Box," you could no longer view it. A week later, if I responded, you would receive my response (but unless I quoted your original message, you wouldn't see your original text). My turn to say, make sense?

If I understand what you've said, no reason why you can't continue to do that. I do it all the time with conversations. A single conversation might extend over a period of a week and contain a half-dozen topics/subjects.

Hope this helped rather than confuse.:)

I love it, reminds me of the wood grain look that CKD, and knife forums had in the old days before all the modern cr@p upgrades that the 'net required... And it matches the wood grain skin I run on FireFox... ;)
