I have a White River GTI that is great. Unless you meant drugs, in that case, I hear bad things about most of them.
I really like this knife and will have to track one down. I have just ordered a Cudeman 115-B small tactical knife with 5.33mm tang and a 4cm wide thick 9cm blade in a mini format with wire notch and twin lanyard holes and exposed pommel. I find the thick stock and the Micarta with red liners really attractive. The smaller Cudemans remind me of a number of the fixed blade Böker Plus knives that seem really hard to source now. tbzbbt
Do you mean the Boker Gnome? I realize you're in Australia, but here in the US market they're readily available. For example see here at BHQ: https://www.bladehq.com/?search=boker+gnome UPDATE: I see also that Amazon has these? No, I am NOT affiliated with BHQ except for spending far too much money with them! Amazon.com is not an option from Australia these days. The amazon.com.au offers very little. I was thinking about a range of the smaller knives such the Pry and Rhino. Very few are available, and when they are, they are overpriced. The Boker Gnome is 100AUD plus 10% import tax delivered from eBay.com.au. Too expensive for my taste. I’ve not ordered direct from BHQ (yet) though some of their Knife Banter YouTube videos are entertaining. I’m visiting Berlin shortly and I’ll see what I can pick up... Tbzbbt
While BHQ will ship to Australia, it's probably only worthwhile if you are making a bulk order of multiple items to offset the base shipping charges. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Current countries available to make orders online: Australia Japan New Zealand Russia All packages will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail International. Starting at $32.95 USD. Rate may increase based on destination country, package size, or weight. ------------------------------------------------------------------ ATB, Sam
The supplier of the small Cudeman tactical 115B has let me down and cancelled the order citing the euphemism it "was not in its stock location". I've ordered a Boker Rhino from US instead that has a great outdoor food prep blade shape with sculpted G10 and red liners. I'm looking forward to it. For me small fixed blades rock. tbzbbt
Slip joint 440c. A bit over $100 for all 3 from Finland to Norway, add $30 to the total if you buy them in the us I think. Collab between Panchenko and Italian Fox knives from my S-A-M-S-U-N-G S9+ via T-A-P-A-T-A-L-K
@Tony Sal That's a cooperation of the knives manufacturer Fox Knives and designer Serge Panchenko called Bean. It's the 2nd geneeration already with thumb stud. The first one was with front flipper as I know. There are three different models. Handle material stainless steel, black G10 or zebra wood. Blade steel is 440C always. No lock (detent ball only). In Germany the prices are about 30 EUR. Check out the Fox Knives website ... link I don´t have a Bean yet but I like this cooperation. The original designs from Serge Panchenko are not affordable and the clones from China are no option. I would like to see titanium handle scales. Edit: Ooops, too late
You explained it better from my S-A-M-S-U-N-G S9+ via T-A-P-A-T-A-L-K Edit: The detent on the ones I got is far to strong for me to front flip them
Well I am in love with the Böker Rhino. Great sculpted handle grippy even when wet, a stainless blade that make it great for food prep. It is great for slicing despite the wide blade. The red liners are even more attractive with the knife in the hand. I'd like some gimping on the thumb ramp area but this may spoil the aesthetic. On thing I didnt consider is the blade shape makes it difficult to hold for peeling apples. It can be done but not ideal. 440C steel may cause steel snobs to sniff, but it is a great value little thing and I look forward to a family of the blade "little knives"... Here's the attractive packaging and useful sheath and belt buckle.. Now a great view of the clean shape, full tang and the attractive red liners...the lanyard came fitted. Another view...no gimping but offers great grip nevertheless. Look at the flat-cut facets giving a modern stealth vehicle appearance... While I'm here, here is one of my favourite small edc knives...a Maserin carbon fibre something...
