Little blue knife is a Sanrenmu 7063AUC - LI Great little user for the price. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I've got one (yeah, I know, no pic = didn't happen) from Case that I bought on a whim. While I visually like the design, the blade is so small and dainty looking I have difficulty determining a good use for it. Other than opening the odd letter... Hope you get some better responses than this, together with some discussion about utility of these attractive blades! I need inspiration! L'chaim! Moshe ben David
I know, I think these would be better for collectors, you know, pearl, bone, etc... BUT I did use mine at work, like you said, letters, tape, string. I'll bring my BM 550 grip and freak them out lol. Peace my bro
@Tony Sal: When you do bring your BM550 grip, try to 'enlist' someone as an accomplice and get some visual of the reactions. Should be entertaining on these forums! LOL L'chaim! Moshe ben David
Given the chunkiness of the blade, I sorta think of the Shuffle as a small/medium, not a 'little' blade! That's just me of course! L'chaim! Moshe ben David
I see your point there are smaller knives. The knife for example I just purchased the Kershaw link is large to me. I able to edc in my jeans front pocket easily. The shuffle is smaller I could edc 2 shuffle to 1 link. Appreciate your comment all the best. D Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
The Sanrenmu A103, A123 and A169 are all good "packet openers". The A103 is also a great keychain knife (3,8 cm blade, what is that 1,5 inches?). I like them all.
Over the last several months, my choice in edc pocket knives has under went an other downsize and revision. The "little knives" now are my sole edc knives, and they do everything I need. It's like fpor the past few years, my obsession with knives has waned, and I no longer am the least concerned that I don't have enough knife with me. The little Victorinox classic on my keyring and the Leatherman squirt has been my everyday com anions for the better part of the time since I have moved to Texas. This is funny, because living now where it's warm most the year, and I get out to fish a lot more than in Maryland, and I'm spending way more time in the woods and along a river bank. you'd think I'd need more knife. No. Living in and around Georgetown Texas is like living on vacation all year round. Since I never used a knife for self defense and now am licensed to carry a gun, I definitely don't need more than a few inches to trim some fishing line, open a box, or other pock tknife job. For the past months, all I have walked out the door with has been my SAK classic and Leatherman squirt. I haven't been caught short once. For a fishing knife, I have a Victorinox paring knife in my fishing kit, and that does well. Very thin blade gets scary sharp. This past year I've driven out to California to see family and friends, and then driven back to maryland to visit some family and old friends. The two little knives were fine for a long trip on the American interstate system. They opened food packets to include those slippery plastic mustard packs. I find that now, even though I need a knife more in my retirement, a small sharp blade is fine, plus I like having a few tools. The screw drivers come in handy, and as a senior citizen with some arthritis in the fingers, the little pliers have been a life saver in gripping some small things. I now have little patience for one trick ponies like small dedicated knives. I find a small multitool like a 58mm SAK or small keychain size Leatherman weighs about the same and gives more bang for the buck. It's soooo weird, but I look back on those years of being a knife nut, and it's like I had some kind of temporary insanity that I got over. I still am a fanatic about keeping a small sharp blade on me, but I've come to realize that it doesn't have to be a Bowie knife. It's like now that I'm an old fart, I only now understand those old guys with the little pen knife that I always wondered about when I was younger. I thought "Whu=y do they all carry those itty bitty pen knives?" and now I know. An inch and a half blade opens a UPS box or plastic blister package just as well as a bigger knife, but takes up less space in the pocket. Leaves more room for other stuff that is needed in the course of a day. Bu then, I've also revisited the whole EDC thing and cut my load to match reality. I'm a senior citizen living in a suburb town of Austin Texas. I am not in outer Mongolia or the middle of the Amazon jungle. I don't need a lot of stuff weighing me down. I have a new appreciation of the SAK classic.
