    Progress report:

This was a sub $20 knife I bought 2 years ago. It's holding up beautifully. The edge keeps sharp for long periods (I've honed it maybe twice since then--never sharpened) and the frame lock works perfectly. It's my mini-EDC, fitting nicely in a coin pocket. I've also tucked it in with keys and despite rubbing up against metal, no scratches. The blue anodized bits haven't shown any wear.

You can still buy these. They're up to $22 shipped, last I checked. Very much worth it. When I travel, it gets tucked in my check-in luggage and that's it--don't bring any other knives with me. It's a champ!

EDIT: Just to remind folks who hadn't seen this earlier, it's like a 2" blade. So as you can see, it's most definitely a "little sharp." ;)

I wish I could say. The few sellers I've seen who offer this knife are from China, and their listings don't give a brand. All I know it's that it's really very good quality for the price, IMHO.

FWIW, when I purchased it, it was a listing from a seller who did not have excellent feedback. Something like "98.4%". I consider above "99%" to be excellent. There is one seller offering it with "99.4%" feedback, which is good to see. And then some silly clown who thinks he can get $49 for it (ridiculous).

I went around the house and gathered all the little knives I could find that never get used.

    Left to right:
    • Chinese SAK knockoff
    • Victorinox Classic
    • Another identical Victorinox Classic
    • Wenger Eddie Bauer Esquire Stainless
    • Richards Sheffield (was part of a manicure kit)
    • Imperial Pen Knife (very heavily used by my grandfather, his only pocket knife as far as I know)
    • Case "Baby Boy" Doctor's Knife (a good pipe knife and the only one in this group manufactured in this century)
    • Rodgers Sheffield Pipe knife

The one I have was a giveaway at a conference (it has a big logo printed on the other side). This was before 9/11 when vendors could give little junky knives to conventioneers without worrying about TSA confiscation on the way home.

Those things scare me! The blades often don't engage well and fold over easily. The worst cut I ever got with a knife was using a knock-off Classic.

Found another little knife in a drawer, today. It's a PG&E service award from the 60's or 70's. Made in Japan, supposedly 12K gold filled, and maybe a ruby chip embedded in the logo. The tiny scissors are beyond nail-breakingly hard to open.

I've seen some other variations for sale in Chinazon (AliExpress)... but these look like better quality. What's the brand and possible website if you recall, Nick?
