    What a great thread!

My lad has just gotten into Lego, which is great for me as I can sit and play with it for hours without the missus telling me to do something more productive. Lol!

Can't wait to take him to see the Lego movie next week.

When he was 4, MiniMkram gave me a green Army minifig carrying a case (LEGO EDC?) prior to a trip - inside was a orange 'cheese slope', lunch for the Army man, he told me while we Skyped. Good times - now he's building more and sophisticated models. BTW if you've not seen the new movie and like LEGO you should go...I wish I could have frozen-framed every scene to check out the models, enough humor for both lil'uns and grownups, and a good, gentle moral at the end.

Had this one for a few years now. Suspended by fishing line from a roof rafter: Lego Ultimate Collectors Series, Starwars X-wing Fighter.
Looking a bit dusty now but still magnificent!

Thank you guys so much. I couldn't have done this with the help of Batman, Vitruvius, and Will Ferrell. Oh and this other guy named Chris Pratt.

I've been huge Lego addict sine I got my first space set back into the 70s. My kids are into it big time too. We have a section in our basement for building and more sets than I can count. One thing I ran across a while back was an analysis of how many ways there are to configure the standard bricks... may not be for everyone but I found it interesting:

ETA: never mind, guess I can't post links...

    Whew!
Finally, other guys who still like Legos!

I think no matter how old you are, Legos are still awesome!
You can build almost anything out of em!
