Like your profile and life was good to me last years.Time to give something back.
Shoot me a pm with your adress and it is yours.
But as written before, it comes without clip and with another screw and a disc to fix the little lanyard.
    Rock on!
    Chris

Thanks to Balder77 I finally got a copper Investigator. There was a small dent in the cap that I had to get out and I wanted the pointed end to be a little more round for no clip carry if I chose to so I had a friend round off the end. In taking the dent out I took off some of the patina....so instead of trying to re patina the cap and match the pen I decided to just shine it up. I also knocked off the sharp edges of the clip that I ordered from Hinderer as the can be a little sharp. If I go with no clip I will use the same end as ghbumbaugh. It looks really cool and he helped me out with part numbers and the like.

Just received my copper investigator and I have what are probably two silly questions: (1) how do I replace the ink insert? i can't seem to find anything other than the cap that screws off, and (2) what exactly is the provided o-ring for? I assumed it to be for one of the provided grooves, perhaps to steady my hand, but I can't get it up the barrel to that point, so perhaps it's for something else?

Walter Davis, to remove the ink cartridge, unscrew the small silver pointed end cap and the cartridge just slides out. You can see I have it off in the pic to demonstrate. It screws off looking at the end counterclockwise. The o-ring is to keep water out of the cap when it is on the pen. It goes in the slot at the base of the body of the pen before the cap threads start, again can be seen in the photo below. You will have to use a thumbnail or something to push it in firmly in the slot so the cap goes over it easily when screwing it on. NOTE: be careful screwing either end back on the first time particularly the o-ring end so as not to cross thread your threads. After the first time you usually don't have a problem.

You are very welcome. Watch that silver pointed end cap occasionally so that you don't lose it, I've noticed at times you will see it beginning to come shall we say "unscrewed".
