For a blade stop I just cut a thin strip of leather and glued it inside the handle so the blade closes and hits that instead o the brass. You can't see it and it prevents the edge from getting banged up.

Yep. The way the pocket clip is designed (Right pocket carry, blade up) and the pivot point....it could easily just from the movement of your pants pocket open, then you go reach into your pocket and cut your hand. There is a reason they sell it with a sheath, I guess.

My Higo. Come in basicly same box as everyone else. No note and no origami just a simple plastic bag and a coating of oil.. I made the envelope style sheath. First one I got had a chip where the blade hit the handle. I emailed back a picture and got new one within 5 days. After that I glued a small strip of leather to the inside of the handle to cushion the edge.

Marking on the blade. Mimes was post marked from Japan but I have no way of telling authenticity of the knife. I cleaned off the oil with soap and trope it a little to get incredible sharpness.

This company also makes another version of the Higo, also definitely non-traditional:

Who makes this non traditional Higo if I may ask. Nice looking knife and looks to be a liner lock to boot.
