No, that's just what I say every time I cut myself with my new 154 cm LM blade. I'm feel more proud than mad at myself. I mean, I could be cutting myself with a stupid stainless steel $1 store knife, but hey —I'm in the big league now !

As for English humor, well, I like it as much as the next guy, even though I have to admit it is another of those things that make us on the continental side of Europe both admire and roll our eyes at the English at the same time. But we wouldn't like them any other way. No one else could have come up with MP, M. Bean or Allô, Allô without being terribly embarrassed and quitting after a try or two.

Ni ! Don't get me wrong ! I've seen The holy Grail a dozen times when I was young. It's just that I now understand what the Black Knight felt. I mean, this WAS Excalibur… At least S30V Damascus steel from Heaven !

Cool ! Spent some time in Tournefeuille when I was younger. I am in the Marseille area.
Question for you : what's your favorite way of getting North american gear over here. Any problem with customs ?

For some products, bought through Ebay, the shipping method was by "Standard Intl". meaning like "Lettre max" in France, with a pre-declare custom tax. I bought my Great Eastern Cutlety knives, and Victorinox Alox like this.
For others, I found equivalent in UK, or somewhere in Europe.
But, you know, most of my knives are hand-made by French Blacksmiths.

I believe the poster is confusing the country France with French Canadians, largely from the province of Quebec. Quebec indeed has produced some of the best Hockey players - but it has nothing to do with being French, rather, being CANADIAN!
Also being confused are the Oscar winning 1971 film The French Connection and the group of NHL players from the Buffalo Sabres nicknamed the same.
Je suis bilingue moi-meme, et je trouve que votre anglais est aussi bon que 'coup des posteurs ici. ;)
J'ai passe 4 mois a Saint Pierre et Miquelon quand j'avais seize ans, et j'emploie le Francias chaque jour a mon travail.
    Bienvenue au Forum!

Thank you for your patient explanations ! Yes, I know the film, I live where the opening scenes were filmed.
I'm not Canadian as you say, yet as most French people do, I feel a very strong tie to French Canadians, their humor, even though I do not know anything about NHL. No wonder people confuse us. Vive le Quebec Libre ! (This is just a historical quote, not a political troll):smug:
Content de voir que tu utilises ton français ! Tu es effectivement bilingue. (I should probably respect the edcf rules and not use too much French though).
Wished I could visit St Pierre one day ! Someone proposed a job there for me once, but I declined at the time.

Facom rules ! I wish I had facom-only tools ! I have to admit I don't know the sabatier knives.
All I have from England (for now) is Monty Python. :p Any suggestions ?

The is no problem ordering from US to France, especially for inexpensive items. Favor USPS (regular US post) as much as possible and you will avoid custom taxes for items under $100 most of the times. With other shipping companies you have more chance to pay taxes ;)
