I've just bought a couple of packs of these, I usually use Moleskein notepads, but these look to be a decent substitute.
    Graph and dot graph.
I also ordered a couple of new mechanical pencils.
    Looking forward to getting them.

I just ordered my first pack of them, now to see what the hub bub is about. I use a full size Moleskin in a leather folder and love it for the longest time now lets check out this mini stuff.

Also I am a digital guy too so I use Evernote on my desk top and iPhone but mainly use it for grabbing screen shots of my notebooks as a back up just in case that something happened to them.

This weekend's arrivals. I have the Expedition series in the Recycled Firefighter cover, not sure I'm sold on the synthetic paper yet. [IMG]

I just pulled out a standard Field Notes that I've been using for sketching and I noticed some pretty significant ink bleed through. I'm using a Fisher Space pen refill, anyone else experience this?

Anybody else find it humorous that a simple notebook with only 24 pieces of paper could be so facinating to all of us. Lol

No more so than how so many really smart, well-disciplined, highly motivated and self-directed folks are so fascinated by miniature, finger sized spinning toys! We're just like that is all! :bounce:

Hello all. I've been wanting to get one or two of these to try out, but I'd love to not have to order them online if possible. Does anyone know any common retail stores that carry these things on a regular basis?

Maybe if you live near a big city, you could get Field Notes locally. I had to order mine, as they don't carry them around here. They do have Moleskine here though.

I ordered mine through their website. I've never seen them in stores actually.

dplafoll, Oddly, I see them in the mom & pop feed/ranch stores fairly often here in the west. You might try there if you have such a thing near you. I'm not talking about places like Tractor Supply, but something more local.

My amazon cart is full of field notes after browsing this thread. Right now I only have the snowblind edition that I picked up at the LI fountain pen show. I used to be a moleskine user, but as a photographer I gravitate towards beautiful things :D
