Some thoughts....I didn't push the wood into the concrete enough, that's why it's a little lose. I put screws on the bottom do that not much wood would be in the concrete ( me scrap I was using wasn't very long, I didn't want it to be too short). But the wire send to have stiffened it up well. The wire is too thick to work with easily. It's the thinnest I could find in solid copper at the hardware store, I should have tried a craft store. I should also have grooved the wood. Twisting the wire tight enough to stay in place pulls in the wood too tight on the glass. Bite I think it's going to be very functional. I haven't decided if I'm going to strain the wood or remove the bucket.
Thoughts for if I do it again: I wood love to try cedar. Seat the wood deeper and use the no mix concrete. Use thinner wire. Create a template out of cardboard to hold the wood in place. I thought taping it in place around the glass insert would work but it want ideal. I think this turned out good enough that I might experiment more in the future
Pre cigar dinner smoke courtesy of my brother KingRandom2
First time with this stick. Great mild smoke
From your first picture I thought you'd just clear siliconed the wood to the glass and the rest was just there to hold it in place while it cured. What you've actually done makes a bit more sense though. Good work.
That would look cool! A lot harder to pull off though, and you would have to turn the whole thing over to empty...
Had a GTO vintage tonight.
How is the new Punch? I've been interested in it.
It's good. My brother bought a bunch and has given me 3 now I think since my humi is empty. Burns nice and even this small size lasts a while. In my opinion much better then the bare knuckle
Had a killer headache today and needed some serenity now so I stepped out the door and worked from outside for a bit
oh oh, 2 days in a row
I put the new ash tray to the test for the first time today. JDN fuerteB
Rocky Patel cargo. Alright so far. Burns a little fast but decent flavor.
Haven't smoked one this low in a while.
Just tried to order more of my Punch Upper Cut.
Discontinued! I bought everything it would let my put in my cart (one box and 6 loose).
Not too happy about this.
Gurkha trident from yesterdaynot a bad cigar, good flavor and burned well. The ash didn't hold together well, it kept falling before I expected and made a mess. But that's more my fault then the cigars
La Palina Black Label
How is the Habano? I've been eyeing it like crazy.
I enjoyed it. I loved the flavor. I had a little bit of an issue with tunneling burr nothing major. At the start of the last third I got a little bit of an off chemical taste but I had stated smoking a little fast. It passed quickly. This is one of the cigars I got at a cigar dinner last week, I'll have to look for some more
