I don't remember the name and couldn't find a link, but once when I was on a long road trip several years ago, I saw a sign near Rocky Mount, NC for a knife store and thought I would take a break from driving.

The store was two floors with the first floor being kitchen knives, large outdoor/bush knives, and swords. The upstairs was all folders and smaller fixed blades. I always meant to go back but have never been back.

Smoky Mountain Knife Works for sheer size, though I did like Heimerdinger's Cutlery in Louisville when I went years ago.

I did not know Blade HQ had a B&M store... don't know why, but I thought it was Internet only. Good to know

You guys in the States for example are so lucky on that front, many gun & knife shops around period, unlike the UK.

We do have a flagship SAK store in London though, the knives are kept in the basement, out of general sight,......might scare a member of the public. Lol

30 minutes away so not so close, but it's just off the freeway. It's still best to browse on line because the glass cases are mostly for the major brands- BM, ZT, Spyderco... But once you have an idea of what you want to handle, it's great. They look up the rack location and bring you a beauty to fondle. Dangerously expensive place to stop.
