My Grail is the Datona Chronograph but I'll settle for an Exlorer II with white dial. Realisticly I'll be real happy with a used Speedy.

Obviously, I'm not as deep into watches as some here, but that hasn't stopped me from professing my admiration for nicer Invictas. I've liked the Bolt and Venom Reserve models since they were first offered. I dig the small details, and they hold up amazingly well. They might not be everyone's cup, but I really like their style.

Well now I want the new Daytona white face with ceramic bezel, not likely to ever get one though mostly due to the ridiculous waiting list

I haven't a clue. I've seen some pretty cool watches in this thread.
I suppose a Rolex day/date model would be awful swell.
But I have yet to spy the watch.
I expect a Citizen Eco Drive of some sort will be the grail.
Don't care for multi button chronographs.
Kinda like the look of dive watches. Some Seiko might be it.
Of what I have right now the Analog Digital Casio I got recently is my favorite.

Patek Philippe with the minute repeater complication.

But I can't afford that yet, so a Swatch Sistem 51 will suffice.

ONE? I dunno... Here's my thing: I anticipate purchasing a holy grail watch at some point before I kick the bucket. When that time comes, there's going to be a long period of me doing research to pick the perfect model first!

Right now I suppose my default answer would be an Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean of some sort. Great blend of classic and interesting. Nothing against Rolex, but I just don't care for their classic styles. Too understated/boring. But I do have my eye on the Tudors, which as I understand it are a Rolex brand. Can't quite get the Tudor Heritage Chrono Blue out of my mind.

Now I'm fairly certain either an Orange Monster or other day date automatic diver.

Very classy, but I'd add chrono or some color to it, personally.

I am with you PBJS II but leaning towards the Dracula version of the monster.

May have scored something that keeps Seiko on the back burner.
Orient Automatic diver. Day date. Glow hands and indices.
Pretty cheap at a Pawn Shop. Need a Bond Nato now!

Lucky enough to have bought my dream watch about 20 years ago, Rolex Submariner. Been carried often ever since as you can tell from the wear on the band.

Really surprised in all the posts not to see even one post for a Concord!

Years ago (1981 ~ 1985), I was on my first overseas posting in Taipei. Seemed like every cab driver and his brother were wearing fake Rolex or Omega!

Some of us identified a shop in HK that could be trusted. I ended up buying a Concord Mariner; stainless bracelet, gold bezel, white face. Loved that watch and wore it for many years. Expensive to maintain -- every time the battery needed replacing it was sent off to a shop in NYC, Tourneau corner... Eventually it came back with a note that a key component inside needed replacing due to corrosion; would have cost ~$300. Needless to say I didn't get it done!

Wish I could either fix the watch (I still have it) or replace it. No other watch I've owned has ever been as pleasing and comfortable to wear!

    L'chaim!
