An orange Perrelet Turbine Double Rotor. I can't justify buying a watch that cost more than my work Jeep, and all the tools in it.

I like my Omega Seamaster, but a Rolex Sub would be nice.

Well, I had to pick a new one, because it was the somewhat pedestrian Suunto Core black/orange, but somebody gave me one so, I had to pick a new one.

Ah! But that's the thing . . . This thread isn't about pragmatism. My $55 Timex Expedition has turned out to be a better watch, overall, than the three I owned before it. Those would include a $200 Victorinox Field model, a $450 Vic Aviator model, and a $600 Hamilton kinetic. My less than $100 Pulsar PXH227 model has been outstanding! Purchased it after my Timex because it caught my eye, and then my heart. I only recently replaced it with a gorgeous Citizen Eco-Drive model (BM7080-03E). A gift from the folks this past Christmas. From a practical point of view, I'm all set. I've got a watch I can wear on a daily basis. I've got a great beater in the form of my Pulsar. And the Timex is there in case I might need to travel someplace not too savory. My Citizen would also fit in very well at a fancy dress party or special event where a suit & tie would be expected.

But this is about what your heart wants. Mine wants an Omega Planet Ocean.

Who cares that Omega's after-purchase servicing is done by incompetent morons. Who cares that Omega is the 2nd largest watch brand that suffers from low-lives producing fakes. (With Rolex obvious being the first.) Who cares that there are fake Omega Planet Oceans out there that are good enough to fool even the experts. (And I mean fake watches complete with fake box and papers.) And who cares about price??

My heart wants one! That's all that matters in this thread.

All of those watches are amazing. My boss collects watches and is always looking for those. He also has a Panerai Officine that I love. But $6,000 for a watch isn't going to happen.

The reason why I'm not getting a TAG Heuer Carrera is right there on my wrist: :)

It is a really great watch, just sometimes I think it's a bit too modest. I guess I like a bit of "Bling", even if it's just a little bit, like on my object of desire http://www.wristwatchreview.com/wp-content/uploads/2006/02/tag-heuer-carrera-mtc.jpg

A much more realistic option is an Omega Seamaster...

I've heard of Orange, and Black. As well as the very rare Blue. But there's a red one too?

I have thought for years and years and years that a Jaeger Le Coultre Reverso Grand Taille would look fantastic on my wrist
