I'd say ask Blitzwing, since you have to Convo him anyway with the required pics, and see what he says.
Never restart the list.. I'm actually going to use this lull to bring it back for cleaning.. I'll pm you asap.. That way by the time I clean it I can start a and b fresh
Blitzwing, I know you don't like to be bugged about this, but I think this was so deeply buried in a long post that you probably missed it: What I'm getting at is: could I go onto the list for Box B when you get it going? If you already had me down, I apologize. I'm not trying to nag. Also, are you still looking for contributions to kick off the new Box B? I could send something decent your way tomorrow if you are. Well. I hope kdurt is ok. He hasn't been on in over 2 months and seemed to be a fairly active member before that.
Alright box A is headed back to Blitzwing, here is my take. Mostly knick-knacks. The little gerber knife stood out to me (for a second time) because of it's simplicity and being made in Oregon, I'm assuming it's pretty old and I love stuff with history so snatched it up this time. The Gerber tool stood out to me because it's my preferred size of multi-tool, has tweezers (one the things I most often find myself wishing I had) and it appears to be the precursor to my very beloved dime. The little leather sheath just really appealed to me, it's so small I don't know what the hell I'm going to put it in it, but I like it. I really liked the bronzed look of the key ring also. The cheapo torch I grabbed because El Nino is on the way and my family doesn't exactly prepare as well as I do and I figured ehh couldn't hurt to have one more light laying around. The real prize is the ashtray reclaimed from what looks like a car engine piston head, which is just incredibly awesome and I smoke (unfortunately).
There was something about that ashtray I liked too. I haven't smoked in years so I passed on it. I had a feeling someone was going to get a kick out of it. I wonder who put it in.
I put the ashtray in. I wasn't sure if anyone else would like it. I'm glad it found a good home. I acquired it in an action at an automotive garage and really liked it but I smoke cigars not cigarettes so it mostly went unused.
I love the Schrade Sharpfinger and would totally have snatched that bad boy up. In my opinion, it's one of the classic woodsman knives. I have an old carbon steel one that I blued with a Birchwood Casey gun bluing kit and it's a beautiful and very functional combination.
