Looking for a flashlight 1inch in diameter (for mounting on a rifle), that uses a 18650 battery, is rechargeable, and in a fair price.
I don't need the highest quality, but not a Chinese low quality on as well...

I use a fenix uc40 standard, fits your needs I believe. There is an ultimate edition as well. My one wasn't too bad a price

    Oh, forgot to mention
It has to have a tail switch, since I would like to operate it when it's on the rifle

Currently leaning towards the Nitecore MH25
It has all the features I want and the price is fair

Chinese but not necessarily junk... Solar Force L2M body with .8-4.2v XP-G single mode smooth reflector LED module.... matches the voltage of an 18650 well, and you can run the M body on a single 123 with the tube extender removed

The batteries are rechargeable in a separate charger.

Foursevens has the MMR-X, although you have to use their propriety 18650 to charge in flashlight (3rd party 18650 will work, but cannot charge in-light).
The Maelstroms are supposed to be weapon mountable (dual springs and they sell weapon mounts) but you might want to call and check on the rechargeable version.

They are a true US Co, although made in China, so excellent warranty and CS, but not Malkoff/SF quality/tough.

Li-ions and in-light rechargeable features in weapon lights can be tricky due to the extra charge and protection circuitry required - more features will by definition reduce reliability.

More and more I'm getting into the USB in-light charging models. I bought the triple-optic Foursevens regen (MMU-X3R) for my Dad and he ADORES it. While bigger than what you want it's a seriously impressive light.

The smaller one reppans mentioned would be a great option if you don't have a quality charging system.

    Hi.
I can highly recommend the Fenix TK 15 or 16.
For both I am not sure with the diameter. They are tactical and usable with 18650 accu.
    Rechargeable with seperate charger.
Made in China, but good quality.
    The Tk15 has 400 lumen, the 16 1000.
    Both are not too pricy.
    Regards,
    Chris

I use a Fenix UC35. 960 lumens. Has a tail switch, and uses a USB charger. Uses one 18650 that it recharges. Or two CR123's that it comes with. Awesome light. Not sure your price limit, but it is towards the higher side. Well worth it though in my opinion.

And I should add the charger plugs directly into the light itself meaning you don't have to remove anything to charge, great for charging in your vehicle...

Another vote for the Fenix UC35, with the caveat that I've never used it on a firearm and as far as I know it is not designed for that. But as a flashlight it fulfill your specifications.

While it looks like an interesting light I can't really see why they use a proprietary method of charging in this case. Also it is not a tail-clickie from what I can see.
