Because of this thread and another asking about a ratcet accessory.
I have a Sprit on the way to me. I am a LM tool person having 7 of their larger tools with the Surge being my EDC.

I will be trying out the Sprit to see if it can fulfill (or replace) the role my Surge plays.
Thanks for all of your inputs.

    Lateck,

I really want to get a Spirit X but holy crap $100 isn't anything to sneeze at. I've been using Leatherman exclusively for that past 20 years or so, but now all the things I'm reading about the swisstool makes me want one. I'm hoping I can find a good deal on the 'bay for one.

Plier opening on my Swiss Tool X wasn't large enough, so had to search for the right tool.
Ended up getting the Gerber MP600 Pro Scout, which has 2cm wider jaw opening on its Plier.
Swiss Tool's other tools are great. Shame about the plier.

I truly love my Spirit X. There are some mods I think I could make without breaking its integrity, but in general its a crazy good tool. As far as weight...its actually an ounce less than the Wave. No joke, its probably the lightest full function multi-tool. On a side note I found that I hated the pocket clip on the Spirit. I stumbled onto this setup while playing with one of those cable key chains.

I think a proper clip that works with this setup would be really cool. It hangs from the belt, but dangles within the pocket.

    Cheers,
    H.G.

So, when you open the Spirit X, you're taking it off the wire loop? I'm just guessing from what I can see...

Yes, it comes off the wire when you open it.

Quick note: u can use a 4 inch wire but it only comes off at a specific angle (possibly an advantage). The 6 inch is much easier to come unattached. Now I need a really good belt clip with a loop attachment. Loving how it feels to walk with it this way. I barely notice at all

You should check out The Maxpedition Keyper. I think it would be great for what you need as long as you are wearing a belt for it to attach to.

Sorry for double post, just got the dangler in the mail and had to show it off. God :censored: this thing works well. It sits just the right distance down in my pocket. I wouldn't even know it was there since the tool basically is attached to my belt.
