There are four additions since i took the pictures.

    1. added a s-biner to the back
    2. added a glow in the dark thingy to the zipper. I got that from my father in law and it is actually not too bright but i give it a try!
    3. and 4. added a wd40 pen (which i discovered in this great forum!) and a new keychain tool. The tool will probably go on my keychain sometimes soon but for now its in the pocket organizer.

Not bad! I have the fatty and the mini. When I work the mini goes in a cargo pocket on my pants.

My latest addition to my EDC organizer is a phase tester i just bought at a local tool shop. I really missed that in my kit!
This is probably the last thing i will add to the Maxped Fatty because it really gets kinda overloaded if i dont stop adding stuff! But i got pretty much everything i need (and even more) in there now anyways.

Thank you Supermanda! No, i dont carry it ALL the time but very often. When i do grocery shopping or just go somewhere in my neighborhood really quick i usually wont take it. But its always with me as soon as i go somewhere by car or bicycle and as soon as i leave home for more than a few hours. Its getting used the most when i visit my parent's home, our cabin in the mountains, at my office and at my inlaw's home, because there is always something to fix or someone asking for a helping hand.

Nice set up, pretty much got everything covered. My maxped edc pouch was getting a bit full so I bought a snugpak response pak, great little bag, emptied some of the stuff into the pak's pockets added a few more things and put the edc pouch in the main compartment.
Think I'll get one of the wd40 pens though, great idea!

It will replace the Vic Classic and the 8GB mini USB stick in my Maxpedition Fatty. [IMG]

    Great looking stuff.
Is their anything you carry in pockets? Let's see a pocket dump. I always like to see those.

    Keep up the good work.

    T

Ps how do you use the corkscrew in the fatty? In the pliers? Or am I missing something?

    Thank you!

The corkscrew is a Swisstool add-on. The image shows how you attach it.

Will post a pocket dump later on!

The knife now looks like that... i thought it might be an interesting contrast to keep a part of the blade in raw steel, but now i am not sure anymore. Probably i will polish the raw parts, too as soon as i recovered from the steel buffing overdose i got over the past two days!

But it was a great experience to see how much work, skill and patience it takes to be a knife maker!!
    Respect to all knife makers!

Hello fellow EDCers! It has been a while since i posted here so i thought it is time for a quick update... i still use and love my Maxpedition Fatty. It accompanied me on various trips, journeys and of course as my EDC. It is soon bursting from all the stuff i put in there though! ;)

    Have a look:

I just reequipped my mini FAK because some of the stuff got used during my holidays (yes you can get a Mora razor-sharp with the Fällkniven DC3 sharpener;) ) . So i just grabbed my iPhone and took a few pictures.

It really is just a very basic FAK that i throw into my Rucksack or attach to my Maxpedition Fatty when i go on a hiking trip, weekend trip etc.

    It holds:
    + some bandaids
    + disinfection wipes
    + scissors
    + Voltaren, Imodium, Ibuprofen
    + tweezers
+ plasters, heel anti blisters plaster
    + medical tape

It really only holds very basic stuff, but most of the ordinary little accidents are covered. I would not rely on it if i would be in a remote area though!

But i was not the only one to get hurt. The Mora took quite a beating, too during the holidays.

    Some new stuff:
+ P-7 on my key chain
+ Victorinox Bantam -> will replace my Schrade Spitfire EDC knife for now. I think this is one of the greatest Vics. It is so minimalistic, slim and lightweight but still covers some of the most important everyday tasks.
+ Wera ratchet 8001a -> will go into my EDC organizer and replace the Victorinox bit holder
