SF's entry into the botique light market are shipping. For those unfamiliar, the Titan is a Ti, CR2, continuously-variable, light. First (limited) edition is 1K pieces, serial numbered. There are waiting lists on CPF, as demand exceeds supply! A cruel twist of fate has mine arriving Monday while I'll be on a plane in route to Ireland for the week! Oh well!

Looks like I've got a couple more weeks to wait. When I originally signed up (tactical_supply?), I was in the top 12, but I dropped to the 50's when the list was transferred to OpticsHQ. At least I did make the list, though.

Larry, OpticsHQ mentioned on CPF the possibility of overnighting it to you.

    Enjoy Ireland! :roof:

Will there be a non-titanium version, hopefully 5 times less the $499 MSRP? ;D

they look pretty sweet! I have recently acquired a few CR2 based lights and they really pack a lot of power in a small package. None as exotic as this, of course!

Depends on the market reaction to the Titan. If SureFire thinks the concept and technology behind it is sound for mass production, then we have good chance of seeing something similar in production form.

Now that I have my itinerary and the Fedex ground tracking # it looks like I'll get it Monday morning before I have to head to the airport. :woohoo:

If they don't throw me outta the plane! The "pond" comes later. Orange County --->Chicago --->Heathrow --->Dublin mid afternoon on Tuesday.

I better pack some additional spare cells! ;D

Actually, this light is the first to excite me for a while! I really like the initial reports of how low it can go! I also wonder how much of it I can lathe-away. My 2-stage CR2 avatar is pretty small.

    Report soon.
