This is only marginally related to EDC, but . . . My most bothersome unfinished project is an AR-15 build. I own 1 AR, set up with a scope for varmints. (MUCH fun.) I want to build another AR set up for HD / CQB. I have the lower, but I've never put the $ together for the upper. If the economy recovers before I pass, I'd like to build that weapon and get in a little range time with it.

Well in Michigan, we have what are referred to as "Michigan pistols." These are basically any long-gun, with a minimum barrel length of 16 inches, and an overall firearm length of between 26 and 30 inches. These can even have folding stocks, as with firearms in Michigan, over all length is measured with the stock folded. So that's what I'm looking for, a folding stock rifle, that is registered as a pistol, and can be legally loaded in the passenger compartment of my car, with my CPL. Unrelated to EDC..... It sounds weird, but i drive a Crown Victoria Police Interceptor, and I really want to get a green and purple light-bar for the roof and decals for the side that say "Michigan State ****** Patrol" and the back, along the trunk would say "Outbreak Prevention Unit."
