So I was at Cowboy Christmas in Las Vegas at the Venetian yesterday and walked into a vendor's booth. This sounds like a lead in to a bad joke, it is not. Stay with me I am trying to make a point here. I was wearing a black King Ropes ball cap, black Under Armour high crew shirt, black Klim jacket, earth tone 5.11 pants, black and grey hiking shoes with a small black fanny pack. Now back to the booth. They sold saddles and other tack and the vendor lady looks up at me and says "you look like a knife and gun guy". I asked why she would say that? She replied " If you are not shot or killed in the first wave, I am going to stick to you like glue" Now the point of my thesis. I was not blending in. I was prepared, but it was obvious! This one moment now has me rethinking my entire philosophy on edc. I am pleased to be a new member of edc forums and thank you for reading this.
